left ring finger is most common.....however if the ring looks better on the middle finger or right-hand, that's ok too. It's your promise ring so you can decide.

Any finger EXCEPT the engagement finger. Maybe right hand - third finger. Save your lefthand ring finger for the engagement ring or wedding band.

Etiquette does not officially recognize promise rings nor chastity rings. However, given that the ring was given as a promise of monogamy I would wear it on your left ring finger.
