I'm having a traditional Mexican wedding so my menu is all Mexican food.
appitizers are................. tamales
main course....................guisado de puerco (pork simmered in red chile sauce), bistec a la Mexicana (rib eye steak simmered with onions, green peppers, and red peppers, along with rice, beans, and salad. It's going to be plate service. I will have a regular wedding cake.
to drink I'm having Tecate, Modelo, and Corona Beers. For mixed drinks I'm having Margaritas, Mojitos, Sangria, and Pina coladas.

After the fruit and cheese display appetizer, we have a choice of beef or chicken. The beef is prime rib, and the chicken is grilled with a sundried tomato pesto topping. Both are served with salad, roasted red potatoes, steamed mixed vegetables, and rolls and butter, coffee and tea. We have a vegetarian option (Pasta primavera), and chicken fingers and fries for little kids. All with an open bar and wedding cake for dessert! We tried to find something for everyone, and keep the foods simple, without a lot of heavy weird sauces.

My other half and his friend are both fine dining chefs and they are handling the wedding food, it will be a surprise for me on the day as he has totally planned the whole meal along with his friend. If it was up to me to choose I would say Tempura Prawns to start, served with sweet chili dip, followed by roasted rack of lamb with mint jus and baby vegetables, followed by strawberries and clotted cream ice cream.
