Weddings - February 2007

Hello. I would like to put our engagement annocement in the newspaper. The only thing is that i do not know either of my parents and because of this it makes it difficult to do a proper annocement. Also my fiance doesn't want to include his parents' names either because of my situation. What is the best way to state this in the paper without making it known that i do not know or speak with my parents? I would still like it to be nice as possible and still formal. Please, please help me with this. I dont know what to do. Thank you for your time and cooperation.

we are booking our wedding in cyprus and are going through a company that looks quite big but can someone give me some links to enable me to find out more about this company before we pay any money. We were going to pay our deposit this morning but when we told her we wanted to pay by switch card she said she didnt accept this so there for gave me an account number and sort code to pay our deposits in. I fear that maybe we could be ripped off so any links to research this company more would be very helpful

Hi,

were getting married next year in the summer and we want a summer garden party wedding, so a BBQ and a live band etc.. We did on for our Engagement party in a pub and it was great we had the seating in the beer garden, but for the wedding id like something a bit more classy for the venue. Any ideas??

My boyfriend invited me to a wedding and it's this Friday it's for his aunt and my boyfriend and I are in high school,so I'm not going to over do it, but I still want to make a good impression. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 years and about 1 mth ago we were arguing over when we thought our anniversary was. I was still married, but separated when we 1st started dating we went out on our first date Oct. 10 which I consider our anniversary. I got my divorce papers Vday so he considers that our anniversary he said it made us official, so I went along with him. So with Vday just around the corner I got a lottle excited so I started making plans on getting a new sexy dress, tan , get my nails done all of the good stuff but all I could think about was his reaction and expression when he seen me all dressed up (which never happens I'm 22 a mother of 3 all ages 4 and under) So 2day I ask him 2 go 2 the mall with me 2 get a dress and he could get an outfit also but he said the most hurtful thing 2 me he said that I didnt need a dress the restuarant was casual it was just another day and he just made reservations at a friends restaurant because he got a free gift certificate

My future mother-in-law has already planned my wedding without my knowledge. She looked at the ideas I had and said that my ideas wouldn't work as she is inviting 43 of her "close" friends to the wedding and that the places I had picked were too small. (My fiance and I were planning on only having about 40-60 guests total) Both my fiance and I have constantly told her that this is our wedding and not hers but we appreciate her ideas and input. She would just tell us that she planned her wedding herself and knows what she is doing.
I told her about some dresses I tried on and the different colors I was thinking of. Her response to me was "Those colors look awful on you!" She hasn't even seen them!! She makes me feel stupid! I don't want to make her angry to the point she won't talk to me or my fiance but I don't want her planning my wedding!! My fiance and I have tried being nice, and it didn't work. She has contacted a bunch of vendors/friends already. I don't know what to do!
