I was thinking about putting it inside a fortune cookie and he Loves the idea. Please let me know of any other way.

Depends on how clever he wants to be. For example, set it up in advance, then take her to a favorite place, perhaps a restaurant, perhaps a location, arrange to have someone bring her a box, have her find a box, have the ring on a string and have someone put it around her neck. Have her best girlfriend ask her to take a box to your son, then your son opens the box and asks if the ring he finds is a signal from her girlfriend. Send her a letter telling her to follow a series of directions, the last of which will have her crawling under a park bench to find a "treasure"...and your son shows up at the last minute. Put the ring in a small box inside of a series of ever larger boxes, either all of which or some of which are wrapped as presents. Have fun with this one.

ask her father for her hand for marriage
u can try this...
get some friends together to walk( that's right walk) to her house to ask for her hand in marriage with witnesses ( that is what the friends are for) plus they will never forget it..( major points with her friends), a drive in movie presentation in PowerPoint against a wall at night u can try that
OK this is an old one.....
a bottle of rain...with a ring in it, now how to do this is easy
but takes massive patience..get a nice bottle wine bottle or a bottle that the ring can fit in, or the message in it for her to read inside it, very hard to do, but well worth it, then all it takes is to wait for it to storm an wait for the bottle to fill, u cannot cheat by using a funnel to get more water, or use tap water, u can tell the difference, maybe not now, but in time she will know, so just wait for it to rain, get a coat and stand out there for the bottle to fill..it will take prob bout three to four weeks of or maybe longer, if u go and track storms, it might be faster, OK as a example i did this and it took about three weeks to fill up during the spring...so good luck to u....:o)

There are a zillion ways. Old traditionals like just taking her to dinner, putting it on the big sign at a baseball game, or a banner at work.
I like the fortune cookie.

My favorite story is the guy that for three weeks brought different rocks to his girlfriend. (Both the guy and the girl were Geology majors, but this can work for anyone) Polished rocks, shiny rocks, concrete, whatever he could find. Then he brought her a special rock that he bought at a Geological supply store. It was a geode that had been cut in half. On the outside, it is this nasty looking rock, but on the inside it has crystals growing. He had the guy at the supply store help to affix a ribbon to one of the crystals and he tied the engagement ring to it.
By this time the girl was getting tired of rocks and this was a big one. When he "cracked" the rock open, she was able to see the ring and he took her hand and asked her to marry him.
They still have the rock on a shelf the last time I talked to them and they plan to tell the story to their grand-kids.

have him bring her to his house after a nice dinner, have her family there and all of his, start playing games but before she walkes in the door have him blindfold her ,and the game could be see if she nows the voices of everyone, make her dad the last one because you now daddy is a girl bestfriend, make it look like other people are playing to. and when she guesses her dad have him walk over and take the blindfold off and you can be on one knee holding the ring box out to her. that way she will remember it as every one was there for that special moment. let me now how it comes out and good luck in life together.

i always thought that the proposal was best when it was done somewhere special, like a place that both of them love! the fortune cookie idea is really cool..

Wait a minute--MOMMY is helping with this?? is MOM going to be in on every decision?? And it is propose--not purpose. He should take the time to do all this on his own--not mommy. She will not appreciate mom doing any decision making when they are married. Yes the fortune cookie is a cool idea
