I noticed while I was ordering my wedding invites from www.now-and-forever.com that they had verses for specifically the reception that you could have put on any of the invitations, which I thought was kinda cool, also we have a family friend who eloped and now they are having the reception and their reception invite was done in the cutest poem, I'll try to check on it tonight and edit this and add it if I can find it b/c I know on now-and-forever.com you can put your completely own verse in and they will print them, and by the way, they were great, good quality, really neat designs and FAST! I am very pleased and highly reccomend them!
EDIT--
found it!

you can always just change where it says at their marriage or at the marriage of their daughter or whatever to at their reception or at the reception of their daughter, that would take care of it as well, hope this helps!

Most of the invitation companies will help with the wording to just invite to a reception. This is more common than you think. More people are getting married in a different city than where they live. Then they have a party to celebrate with the friends that could not make it to the ceremony.
Wording would read:
"Jim Sample and Judy Example request your presence at the celebration of their marriage" if sent before the wedding and
"Jim and Judy Sample request your presence at the celebration of their marriage" if sent after.

I just ordered mine from www.invitationsbydawn.com. They have a huge selection and ones for every budget! I ordered them, and they arrived 3 days later, and they looked wonderful. Plus you can ask them to send you a free sample. You can check the type of card you want, doesn't have to be a wedding invitation, you can just do a reception announcement. Best of luck.

Go to McPhersons.com or try Bride & Groom.com. They are wedding invitation printers. If that doesn't work go to a local printer and ask to see their catalogue on formal invitations. Copy the company name down and go to their site for pricing etc. It is better to let the printer handle it for you. I know about this because I spent 20 years in the printing trade and did 1000"s of invitations of all kinds. GOOD LUCK.

2 contraptions of invites. One set with "usual" wording for the individuals attending the marriage and, i think the reception. the 2nd set, make it an invitation on your reception to "rejoice" your marriage. there are a number of books on the library to grant help to with the wording on each and each set. additionally, while you're ordering them, whoever you order your invites from would desire to have adventure and comprehend the thank you to be conscious each and each set for you and/or use wording you would be able to choose or locate. you do no longer would desire to describe interior the invites FOR THE RECEPTION, WHY those human beings weren't INVITED TO the marriage. no count what, do no longer permit everyone MAKE you sense to blame in any way, for below INVITING specific human beings TO the marriage purely AND all something TO THE RECEPTION. that's no longer uncommon for couples to do. some get married on the courthouse, then have a brilliant reception.
