Why do we marry, what is its purpose?

Is it to procreate
Is it to feel good about our selves
Is it to have lots of sex
Is it to love and be loved
Is it because we fall in love
Is it a natural instinct
Is it to put order in societies

From knowledge of that aquired from my upbringing, my society and the media; Love is exposed to surpass beyond other basis for the vindication of marriage. Is this true or have I been deluded?

Originally, the wedding certificate was devised by man so that he could be more assured that the kids he was bringing up were his own. It signifies a commitment to another person. It also gives rights such as half share in any properties wealth etc.
But, like every other relationship, after a few months, it becomes a bit boring/stale unless you really have something in common with each other, such as hobbies like golf/swimming/sport/kids. Without something in common you are snookered when the newness wears off....as it does with familiarity and daily contact. The throbbing of the neck when you meet wears off before you know it, then you have to have something in common to talk about and share

Marriage is the concept of two people coming together out of love for each other who want to spend their lives togetehr and possibly have a family. It symbolizes a union that wont be broken and is a vow to work through the hard tiem and come out as that old happy married couple years downt eh road that everyone some day wants to be.

The great sex doesnt hurt either...

It's to show another human being that you love them and they mean the world to you. And to stand in front of family and friends and promise that is sumit that you should think bout not just do for the nice dress and the party!
