My boyfriend and I have known eachother since August, and we know that we want to get married, probably the middle of next year. I think he's going to propose officially soon. Just looking for some opinions- are we moving too fast?

The music my fiance and I like isn't exactly made for weddings. More for like tuning in and tuning out if you catch my drift..lol.

We are southern children and like older music, even though it wasn't our time period. We like classic rock (i.e. The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Doors, Hendrix, Joplin and so forth), outlaw country (Waylon, Cash, Merle....) and southern rock (The Allman Brothers, Skynyrd, Bob Seger..)

The list goes on.....but it is hard to find wedding appropriate songs. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Me n my guy r havin some really tough times.. Our wedding is less than 4 weeks n we haven't done any preparation yet.. The marriage is sudden cos my we r havin some problems with both of our parents.. We bought a hse so tat we can stay together and we need to produce the marriage cert b4 we can finalise the deal.. Hence the hasty marriage... My parents are totally unaware of these at all... I feel very bad abt it but the tension between my guy n my dad is too much tat he can't bring himself to talk to my dad abt it, so am I.. Only his mom knows abt these and his mom too are starting to interfere too much in it... The original plan was to do this w/o the parents and now, he's like OK abt his mom chipping in into the marriage issues... I felt quite hurt abt it.. Tried to make him see my point but in the end we always end up arguing abt it..I know very well tat we r not making any right steps or decision here but he can't understand it.. I m beginning to think twice abt it now..

ok u lot must have had fun with ur guest lists but have u had as much trouble as this...my best friend is getting married, she also happens to be my ex's sister, my ex- her bro- left me when i was 26 weeks preggers with baby no. 2 for another woman. me and my mate are determined to stay friends. However mummy is now over the moon she is rid of me (we never got on) and since she is paying for the whole thing she has made my mate (also aunty to my kids obvs) compromise that i am not to be invited to the wedding cos her bro is with this other woman (me and other woman obvs dont get on) me and my mate are gutted but the wicked mummy in law is expecting to take my kids along (even tho my mate has told me not to let her)- i know im not family anymore but this has really upset me has anyone ever been in this predicament(not inviting someone cos of ex) & did u ever solve it. I have missed 3 weddings this year (thru choice)cos i was preggers and ex was there with new thing.

Actually it was the part about catering which confused her. My son says now she doesn't know wheather or not to list the entrees on the invitation. I told him to tell her to forget what I sent if it causing that much of a problem. And for her to do it the way she wants, afterall it is her day. She is college eduacated, but that doesn't help planning a wedding.
This site had lots of info and I thought it would be a nice gesture to email it to her.
After all no body knows everything aabout planning a wedding.
Wow, I will stay out their way from now on. I had a lousy mother- in-law and I don't want to relive any of that again
How do I make amends? Is it proper to list the entrees in the weddig invitation?

One has to marry. And marrige there are expences. One can not avoid it. If one wants marry giving due importance to traditional values how much he should spend in relation to his WEALTH & INCOME. People should not call him spendthrift or miser.
