Well it depends on why it's the last thing you want.
If it's because you really like him and enjoy being with him but aren't ready, then explain that. Honesty is the best policy.
If it's because you're a couple but can't ever see yourself married to him, then why are you with him? Tell him no, and that the question has made you think and you've realised that the relationship is over.
If it's because he's a random stranger/acquaintance/friend you've never had a relationship with, then if he's sane he won't be expecting a yes, so no should be understandable!
Unfortunately, however hard we try, it is sometimes impossible to avoid hurting someone - all you can do is be honest and tactful and hope for the best.

You can be honest and put it kindly too. Just say that you think he's a fine man with many good qualities(Here you would mention 2 or 3) but that you both would not suit. You are incompatible and wouldn't be happy together. Please do not add that " you'd like to remain friends"! That's an insult and you really should break all ties with him after telling him no. It would be too painful for him to be with you afterwards, so tell him you need space fora while. Then, whatever you do, do not call him "just to talk" or for any reason. Let him heal as well as yourself. LOL

isten carefuly some times men are so romantic and some others are joking and make fun of feelings and emotions and other are between this and this so any way you will refuse in one way that to cut the way for the thrice of them if this one who you don't want from any kind of the upper tipes
so calmly and firmly you will say no
for the first tipe if you give hope even if you didn't mean this hope he will keep following you and bothering you
for the second tipe you will cut the way
for the third type he will turn over and forget about it soon

If its the last thing that you want to do, then you need to just tell him that you aren't quite ready to get married but maybe in a few years time once things are more sorted in your life.
Say that you love him, but you don't think tat either of you are ready to get married, and that their are issues that you both need to address before you even consider settling down

hi, just say that you think things are fine at the moment and you don't want to rush in to things and for him to ask you in few months times when your relationship is that bit stronger...but if you feel there is no way you want to marry this bloke then what are you doing with him...you need to end the relationship and let him find someone who will love him and want to be with him forever

You should treat others the way you would like to be treated !!If it was you would want some one to be honest with you ,if you don`t want to marry him then you should`t be with him ,sounds like you may be carrying him along and not as serious about the relationship as him , thats a bit unfair !!!!

Just tell him that right now your not ready for marriage, And that maybe in a few years you will be . If he does not want to wait let him go. And that at this time in your life you enjoy being single, and that you do not want to be tied down.

just say marriage isn't what you want at the moment, maybe at some point in the future but not now. If you want shut of him tell him your already married and would have to divorce your other 2 husbands first because you are sick of being an adulteress or whatever you would be called.

Just tell him, don't worry about being nice. He needs the cold hard truth if he's going to get over you. And you need to let him get over you, otherwise you're heartlessly stringing him along. Be nice, and you will be a vindictive wench.
