They are the same as a man's plain wedding band. You can find them in Gold, white gold or silver at the walmart or k-mart jewelry dept.
Good luck & Congratulations!

On the Internet--Jewelry Payless or Limogenes sells silver.
In fact, there are several just silver sites.
Silver is very porious, which is why you can't use silver when you get something pierced until it's healed. It holds bacteria and can cause infection.
You'd be much better off getting an inexpensive white gold wedding band. Usually you can get them for agout $25, only $10-15 more than a silver band. Worth the extra $$$
And then you can get it engraved.

If you don't find what you are looking for, please contact me at the below link. I make a lot of wedding bands and a sterling silver plain band should be no problem for anyone to do for you. The engraving should be able to be done as the same time as the ring is fabricated.
One word of caution. . . make certain your sterling band is FABRICATED and not CAST. A wedding band, because it is worn 24/7, needs all the strength possible. A fabricated ring is substantially stronger than a cast one.
Good luck.

Go to your local Kay Jewelers or Marks and Morgan Jewelers. Tell then what you're looking for. They'll probably be able to help you.
Why are you looking for silver instead of white gold; is there some special significance there? Most people are just using white gold these days.
You could also look online; I'd Google it.
Good luck!

Go to limoges.com
They will even engrave for you--we had our wedding bands done here. Very reasonable prices, too.

We have them from ebay. :-D
The jeweler have own website, but it's in Germany.
The rings are so pretty, and we could save money because they don't cost arm and leg, hehehe.
P.S.: Be sure not to have the cheapest one, if you decided to have it from ebay. They started with 1 €, and think that they were a used ones. Better to have a medium price (like 40 - 50 €).

This site sells them, they are about $20 and you can choose your width, so if you get it wide (over 5mm) than you can engrave it.
