I am getting married next September and my fiance has 7 younger siblings under the age of 12 and I also have siblings and cousins attending the wedding. I also know what happens when children get bored so does anyone have any ideas of how I can keep them entertained?

my in-laws 50th annv. is may 2007. In May of this year my in-laws asked that we all 4 kids and thier familys go to florida for thier annv( this was the way they wanted to celebrate).i don't know what happened to that whole idea but in the next couple months that was a no-go and thier oldest daughter sent an email that now mom and dad wanted to do a hall, band, food, open bar, invites and the whole 9 yards which i think is wonderful for them (oh this would be for 200 people) it sounds like mother-in-law is telling sister-in-law what they want and sister-in-law is planning it as if it were a surprise?????? no-one has said lets get together and plan this thing and how much should we spend & we can't get any straight answers. they have a habit of doing things and then sending a email that our portion is this much. i wonder if i should assume this is expected of us and wait for the bill. or should i assume it is not up to us to pay for this

I just wonder why adults who reject the tenets of the faith would want to begin their wedded life under those same tenets?

Is it right for a clergyman to decline marrying non-Christians?

We are planning our wedding -- first for both of us -- and we are both in our mid 30's. at this stage in our lives, I do not want a maid-of-honor or best man. I would just like it to be the two of us. Most of our friends are just as busy with their lives as we are and I would rather have not have a MOH than have someone just to have someone.
Any advise out there? Pros and cons to having or not having?

I know it looks funny... but I'm having a real problem with this. My boyfriend has a brother and a sister. I have two sisters. Obviously they will both be in my wedding, as will his sister. I have two close/best friends as well. and that is the bare minimum!!! He thinks his brother, possibly his dad then, his step-dad, and he only has ONE close friend!!! How do I deal with this discrepancy???
Thanks for ANY advice. I can't possibly think of leaving anyone out (i've already cut it down considerably on my side...)

this question is for all the persons out there who know about love. I have been with my GF for forever and a day. for all intents and purposes she is perfect. because we have been together for so long, i do not know if i am with her because i am comfortable or if i'm in love. we're at the point in the relationship where marriage is inevitable. so i need advice to help me before understand what the term "comfortable" means and if i should take the next steps in my life or not.

My wedding is in April and purple is my favorite color. My heart is set on the deep purple but I read somewhere that deep purples are winter colors. Does it really matter?

My parens have made life hell since I've gotten engaged. They do not like my fiance and have been very close minded about things if they do not agree with them. They want me to be their "baby girl" until the day I get married. I got so fed up that I left and told them I was moving in with my fiance. They say that they are very hurt and upset that I left and they blame my fiance. I just want to find harmony. I would go back and live with them if they would ease up on me and let me be an adult (I'm 26 years old, respsonsible, have a good job). I know I hurt them and that hurts me but they've been so hard to work with in this engagment. What is supposed to be the happiest time of my life has been miserable.

We had a tasting yesterday with a potential caterer. Our dish was a chicken and roast beef. The roast beef seemed undercooked and bland. The chicken was pretty good. The potatoes were instant, and the vegetables plain but not bad.
The caterer was late meeting with us, then had no time to talk to us. I think he should have planned our meeting for a time when he was going to have time to talk.
How good should I really expect the food to be? I'm trying to get it around $10/plate (Iowa).
