My husband loves fishing and hunting! I got him a three day weekend at a fishing outfitter! He loved it!!

For the wedding I got him a nice watch that he had been wanting!!

My basis was to get him something he could enjoy for a long time, and something he could enjoy for a short time but take away great memories!

Instead of getting into the obligatory habit of gifts on anniversary's and stuff just wine and dine and have wild hot drunken sex on those special occasions. That's what my husband and I do and then you don't have to worry about...oh no, what should I get, but you have fun and enjoy each other in a special way.

We didn't buy each other anything as a wedding gift to each other. I guess we didn't think about that.... having each other and an expensive honeymoon in Maui was gift enough for us.

Part of our ceremony was a rose ceremony. We exchanged a red rose and that was our first gift to each other and it was in front of everyone. We have vases in our home that anytime we want to say "I;m sorry" and cant...or just "I love you" in a special way, we get a rose and place it the other's vase.

My hubby and I both got each other the same thing actually...1 single long-stemmed white rose symbolizing that, above all else, we were still each others best friend. Just thought I'd add that it was coincidence. Neither of us knew that the other was getting it.
