I'm getting married on Sunday--that's one VERY important detail.

My gown arrived a month late, so finding a tailor was tough. I found one, and the owner was confident that it would be done.

I had to come in twice because this mispinned the first time I was fitted.

They marked the date wrong on it too. I was given sh*t about it from the seamstress--she said I should have checked it. Checked it? All it had was my name and phone number. SHE had written the date in after I left!

BEYOND this, alterations cost $250. Whatever--it's paid for. It's done. I can move on. Right? Wrong.

Guess what?!

The garment bag is torn. No biggie except now it's going to be harder to keep clean.

It's not pressed and it looks dirty.

Should I send my wedding planner into get them to pay for the pressing? Or should I just get a grip and move on?

Before you scream "BRIDEZILLA!" realize that I've stayed calm this whole process. The DRESS has been the major frustration.

Vegas? What was it like? Would you recommend doing it? What is your opinion of a Vegas wedding? I have heard some says it trashy, is this true?

So, ever since I've been planning my wedding I've been hearing several people tell me I can't do this or I can't do that. I got fed up about it and finally told everyone to let me do what I want to do for my wedding and let me be. I only, God willing, will do this once in my life and I want it to be something I won't regret. I can't please everyone and I shouldn't have to on a day like this. Agree? Well, now I'm hearing people tell me I'm a Bridezilla. I haven't watched the show, but from what I understand, a Bridezilla is someone who get's mad and rude when it's not warranted. I think I have every right to tell people to keep their opinions to themselves. I had three people all at once actually raising their voices to me telling me I couldn't do something. These are the same people that, at the beginning, said "You're the bride. This is YOUR wedding. You do what makes YOU happy." Sooooo, what gives?!

If we get a gift prior to the wedding, do we open it? If yes, do we send a thank you card immediately?

For example: "for all that we have been blessed, a monetary gift is one we would suggest". Simple polite wordings like this to add on an invitation. Is there any web sites where I can find these wordings?

What are some subtle ways to get him to propose? We are both 28, have stable careers and have done many things in our life. The last 1.5 years have been great. We've talked little things here and there about marriage and the future and I have no doubt in my mind that this is it. However, I think he may need a push. How?

I am having a second wedding ceremony for my friends and family,as our first wedding ceremony was overseas, we would like only cash gifts as we have everything else that we need, so im looking for ideas on how to put this into our invitations, what is a politically correct way to ask our guests for money instead of gifts? please only answer this question if you have done this yourself or if you genuinely have a good idea

The problem is I want to wear a pale pink gown with bougainvillea flowers in my head-dress and she says they are "flowers of the gutter". She also says I have to convert. I don't really mind converting...but she is just so strict and rude. I think she will be an awful mother-in-law, but I do love my husband-to-be and I want everything to work out. Any ideas?

Ok, so we don't want children at our reception. But, me being the person that I am, I don't want to put any pressure on anyone with trying to find sitters & all the adults will be at the reception.

So, what I did is rented the room right next door, to where the reception will be held, and I'm going to hire a couple indivisuals to come and watch the children while the reception is going on. I was thinking about maybe ordering them pizzas and letting them watch movies, something like that. Am I putting stress on myself trying to arrange that, or should I just flat out say NO CHILDREN?
