You could get married at the town hall with a small ceremony.
Or find a nice park gazebo and get married there.
Or if your parents or you have a nice room in your house, get married there.

First, I would discuss it with your fiancé and your family. You'll be amazed at the good suggestions people can come up with. It doesn't have to be all flashy and fancy to be truly special. Think of places that are special to the two of you, and where you feel comfortable; it could be outdoors in the park, or even in your or your family's house. You can certainly have a ceremony at the courthouse, too. I would try and plan a special party afterwards with the closest friends and family there. If you're strapped for cash, you can recruit a friend or two to do a BBQ in the back yard or something. It all kind of depends on what the two of you want to do, what is important to you, and what kind of budget you have for it. Congrats, and good luck. I just got married for the 3rd time as well. :)

Help, family and friends. You can have a very beautiful wedding without spending yourself into the poor house. Have a nice wedding at someone's house, reception can be a family style buffet. Does someone have a nice big house that you could borrow for the day? You didn't say when the wedding would be, so if possible you can have part of indoors and outdoors, so the house would not have to be huge.

In my area, the Knights of Columbus have a beautiful hall that they rent for a couple hundred dollars. You didn't mention budget, so I am trying to just give you a couple of suggestions. My friend is on her 4th, and I am going to do her wedding at my house next summer. I am having the wedding cake inside on my dining room table. the table will be covered with a antique table cloth, and I am going to get rose petals in her color, and spread them out. We are having the reception and cermoney outdoors. I am stringing clear lights in the trees, shrubs, and on the porch rails. She loves balloons, Dollar Tree 2 for $1. I am going to lots of those. We are having a bar-b-que buffet. Her family and friends are all going to be bring dishs. We are doing the meats, and they are bringing the vegetables.

I did a wedding for another friend in April, we borrowed tents, and I ran the lights around the tent pole legs and undernearth. I used light purple from my Halloween stash. It was grogous, and friends and family members brought the vegetables there too. Borrow-borrow...I did her's for under $400 that is including the minister, dress, and all. Bargain shop! She worked with a man who loved taking pictures, and was good at it, so no cost there.

You got to use your imagination. and friends...too. But it can be done. If you want your parents there and family, then I think this man is really special to you, and I wish and pray for you a most wonderful wedding day for you. ...

God bless us all.............

Congrats on the upcoming marriage! I, too, am getting married for the 3rd time, and it will definitely be my last. We have talked about this together. Since we have both had the big shebang of weddings, we don't want anything big. We are going to go in front of the justice of the peace (and get this, his ex wife is going to be my witness/maid of honor!) and you can only have a few there, so we wo't have too many there. We are then going to have a potluck reception picnic in the summer for all of our family and friends to come to. Our wedding will, probably, be Valentin'es day and we will probably go to the Oregon coast (we live in Oregon, about an hour away from the coast) for a couple of days or so for a 'honeymoon'.

Good luck to you! I do wish you lots of luck and happiness.

You could buy a nice dress, I would say a cream color not white, maybe if you have some friends who have a garden that wouldn't mind parting with some flowers you could have fresh cut flowers sitting around in vases and just have a nice backyard wedding with your closest family and friends. If it was an evening wedding you could always buy some of those tiki torches, they are not too expensive and have those around the yard as well. If you can find a minister who will perform the wedding for you (many have restrictions) you could always call the J.P. as a last resort.

Ask your spouse for input. As women, we do think it is our wedding. But your spouse has ideas and I'm sure feelings about what they would like as well. And with that you both can come up with a happy medium.
