I did get the girls necklaces to wear but feel that isn't truly a gift to them, as it is a wedding accessory. We were thinking one "personalized" gift and a gift card...what is a good amount?

I once received a silver bracelet with my name on a heart charm, that was nice. I have also received engraved candles before, which I enjoyed as well (You could give a yankee candle as a gift - lots of girls love that). And I know of someone who gave a necklace & a pair of earrings as the wedding gift & for them to wear in the wedding - I think that's fair. Another person offered to pay part of the cost of the bridesmaid dress to help relieve some financial burden on the bridesmaids behalf as her gift. Since you've already given the necklaces & feel that's not enough, without spending too much more money, you could give the girls each 5 - five dollar lotto tickets.

For the groomsman my boyfriend loved this - a flask & shot glasses with his name on them. You could get them a beer mug, a wallet, a watch, two tickets to a game, a gift certificate for a round of golf. Shoot, guys would probably be happy with just a 24 pack of beer!

I would get them eaach a personalized gift that fits their personality. Try shopping at www.customweddingsolutions.com

They have lots of great gifts for attendants. we got ours from them. I gave my bridesmaids the monogrammed spa kits and a personalized robe. We spent the dy before the wedding relaxing at a local hottub place. They loved the gifts! For the gys we bought them each something diferent cuz they all had diferent tastes. We got the bestman a professional poker set, 1 GM a personalized coffee travel thermos, 1 GM got a personalized cd holder, and the other got a personalized can holder. They all received a personalized pocket tool as well.

We got all these gifts at www.customweddingsolutions.com
Check 'em out! They were a huge time and money saver. Gift cards are too impersonal for people who mean so much to you.

For my bridesmaids, I bought them two gifts. The first one I presented to them at the bridal shower, and they were jewerly boxes with brass plaques on the top. On these I had each bridesmaids' name and the date of the wedding engraved. Their second gift was the jewlery to go with their dresses.
I picked up the boxes at Things Remembered, they were on clearance, and I paid about $15 each, plus engraving. The jelwery I found in an Avon catalog, they were three piece sets, including the necklace, bracelet, and earrings. Because of the quantity I ordered, I got a 10% discount off the whole order.

For our groomsmen we special ordered some large beer mugs. I found these from a specialty shop, paid $18 each, not including engraving.
Depending on how much you are willing to spend, you can check out www.orientaltrading.com for some good ideas that are relatively inexpensive, or Things Remembered for a more pricey range of gifts.
Congrats!!

Take a good picture with your bridesmaid group and then you groomsmen and give each one a picture in a pretty frame and and buy each a card and tell them We thought about giving you money or may be a gift card.to just say thank youbut we thought "It take more than money to show how thankful we really are." And give them the picture and tell them live in the moment as you and your husband will

I got mine a little basket full of Mary Kay products. I didn't have any makeup put in it because everyone wears different types and colors, but lotions, manicure items, etc. You could also do the same with AVON products or Bath and Body stuff, etc.
I gave the maid/matron of honor (I had two) a little more than what the bridesmaids got.

The men got a wooden pen/pencil set in a nice wooden box that my husband made himself (the pen/pencil, not the box). I'm sure you can find them on ebay.

Make sure you get them something they can use, otherwise you're just throwing away money.

I have been picking up just little things for each of my bridesmaids that suit their personality. I am also making them little anklets with silver heart charms on them that are engraved with the word "LOVE". For the groomsmen, I was thinking about just getting them silver cuff links with their initials on them and maybe something that suits their personalities as well. But I don't see anything wrong with getting giftcards either. I never thought about that and may use that idea myself! Good luck.

My daughter and son in law gave the groomsmen pocket watches and the bridemaids were given little velvet bags in their favorite color embroidered with their initial. Inside was a lovely silver mirror. She also gave her bridesmaids the necklaces and earrings they were to wear.

I also got my girls necklaces, but I felt like I was cheating them also. We did not have a lot of extra money, so I put together gift bags for my girls. I used travel sized lotions, small candles and votices, bath spounges and picture frames in canvas wedding bags. Our groomsmen ended up with beer mugs with their names engaved.
