A lot of people think I should go for white or a variation thereof but I think I want to wear something more colourful, say purple. What should I do?

My fiance and I would like to get married in May but were very short on cash... is there a way to have a nice wedding on a low budget? Any ideas for wedding ceremony/reception and favors would be greatly appreciated. We have no set budget but would like to keep it inexpesive.

My step grandfather (who I don't even know and haven't seen since I was a small child) was invited to my wedding without my knowledge. My mother didn't think he would come. Well, he is coming. I don't feel like he should be honored along with the other grandparents in the ceremony, on the program or invited to the rehersal dinner. My mother thinks otherwise. I don't want to be rude, and intend to be very cordial, but he hasn't "earned" the right to be honored alongside the other grandparents. Your thoughts, please.

We are having our late October wedding in the historic barn at our new farm. It will be small and simple (50 people $2000 budget). We will be doing basically EVERYTHING ourselves, flowers, food, everything.

We plan on decorating the barn with hanging candle lanterns and pine boughs. Our colors are Hunter Green and Ivory.

We need ideas for basically everything! I am very craftey and he is very handy so we can do most everything.

Any ideas for decorations? Food?

Thanks!

My brother is getting married and he and his future wife are clueless about the wedding format. They have the bridemaids, the best man, the groomsmen picked out and they all have their dresses and tuxs but nothing beyond that. I am trying to help them by getting a traditional American wedding format for them so that they can see who's going down the aisle first the flower girls or the bridemaids.

Please help

My fiance is being deployed in January and we are trying to plan a small wedding before he leaves. Our family has been very helpful in sharing some of the costs. We have a reception hall set but we were wondering on what to serve our guest, we were thinking of having a buffet with all sorts of different foods but we are stuck as to what to have. Any money saving ideas would help!!! Thanks :)

My parents are divorced and the grooms parents are married. I am pretty sure my parents wont dance together. Can I leave this part of the weeding out or will I hurt the grooms parents feelings?

We are having it at an upscale BBQ Restaurant, in Agoura Hills, right outside of Malibu Cyn, Her Parents are rich, skinny Snobs, and I want to do it right. They already don't like ethnic,Hispanic, fat me. Son is a Fireman, Centerfold material. And she is a plastic pretty little trophy bride. She is ok. I just want my Son to be happy and do it right!
