I have an old friend from childhood. In our mid 20's, we were roomates for a year. After she moved out, I talked with her for about 5 times in 7 years. She never returns calls. She never answers the phone. I suggested making plans to get together. We haven't made any plans to get together. She is now having an extravagent wedding & invited me. I am trying to figure out if I should go to this wedding. I am obviously not a very important part of her life at at. In addition, there is a wedding shower, bachelorette party, etc...

I am getting married in July and I am just afraid that it will be waaaay to hot to dance and enjoy meyself at the reception. (And I love to dance!) so my plan is to have my long traditional gown for the ceremony and then have a shorter dress for the reception. do you think that this would seem pretentious?

so my room mate invited me to go to her cousin's wedding, and i accepted to be her date (she is seeing this guy, but they just started dating and she has "one of THOSE" families and doesn't want to introduce him into it so early into their courtship)

but since i don't know them and i am only attending as her guest, am I required to bring a gift?

I'm helping my friend make her wedding invitations and we don't know which context to use honor or honour. "Your presence would be an honor to our families." Or is it honour? Thanks.

Im puting together a slide show of "growing up" pictures for my wedding. its all individual pictures of my fiance and I as we were growing up from infant to present. I found some really good Celine Dion songs from her Miracle CD for when my pictures are playing, but I need a few good songs for his pictures. Something sweet and touching. Something with words that a mother would sing to her son. Any ideas would really help!!! Thanks!

My boyfriend and I only want about a 6 month engagement. I was wondering if it is possible to plan a wedding in this amount of time. Especially if I already have an idea of what I want ahead of time.

I love weddings. I had so much fun doing my own and I've helped with several others here and there. I wonder what it would take to become a wedding planner. I done a little research and have the basics already but what they say in the books and websites differs greatly from real life. That I know. I know things would start slow and I would have to invest a little to get going but are there any other wedding planners out there that could give me some advice or helpful start up tips?
