I'm getting married in 2 weeks, so I know exactly what you are going through! as of now, you should have almost everything done (planning wise) and just start paying for each item (cake, flowers, etc.) with each paycheck that comes. I had to cut alot of corners because we are on a strict budget as well. I ordered my cake through a small family owned cake shop ($288 - serves 150 people and it absolutely BEAUTIFUL!)...ALOT cheaper than any grocery store can do! Flowers are on order through Costco ($14.99 for each 2doz bundle of their premium roses,,,I ordered 30 doz. for my bouquet, maid of honor and my bridesmaids bouquets and also, enough to put some on the tables in vases at the reception too.) wedding favors: Orientaltrading.com...AWSOME SITE!!!!!! and for the gifts for the wedding party, we ordered engraved flasks from elighters.com. Pink leather for the girls and silver for the guys. (it was a little pricey, about $25 each) but well worth it! Michaels craft store has a cupon every sunday in the paper for 50% off any one item and they have tons of wedding stuff. So just check the sunday paper and go there once a week! GOOD LUCK and CONGRATS!!! I hope my info helped a little! :-)

Hopefully by now you have 1. booked your ceremony and reception sight and honeymoon plans if you are going on one, 2. hired or appointed a coordinator, 3. selected a caterer and chosen a cake, 4. ordered your favors, 5. selected and ordered programs - just to name a few things. Needless to say that all clothing should have been ordered by this point including your bra, slip, etc. Realistically your invitations should be going out now. You are truly close to the big event so most everything needs to be done. As far as a gift for the bridesmaids, maybe some jewelry to go with their dresses.

You could put together a basket of stuff from Bath & Body Works. It's cheaper than buying a basket that they sell. If you get the stuff when they're having sales (like buy 3 get 1 free) you'll save lots of money. I had 3 girls and I bought myself a few things and spent about $70. You can get baskets at any dollar store.

Get your bridesmaids gifts from Breezy Beach Wear (www.breezybeachwear.com)! They have inexpensive fun gifts that any girl would love! I recommend giving a silk flower hair clip and a bracelet or necklace to each girl. They'll love it and you won't spend much money.

Sign up on The Knot. It is the best wedding planning site I've come accross (and believe me, I've tried a lot). You plug in the amount you have to spend and they divide it up in to categories for you. You can manage your guestlist online as well. And they have a task list all ready for you and month-to-month will let you know what you should be doing and if you are over-due for things. Chcek it out!

Check out my weddingplanningideas.com. My (new) wife went there and found great ideas and how to throw a low-budget wedding.
