A great way to have a memorable wedding on a budget is to take advantage of what's already available in your area. Are there any special festivals you could take advantage of? Seasonal weddings are also a good solution. For example, if you're getting married in spring, have your wedding at a botanical garden, and save on the flowers. I got married at Christmas, so the church was already decorated. I used the holidays as a theme, lowering the cost of food and decorations. Hope I was of help. Best wishes!

Board games
May seem odd but it works. Go on ebay and buy just the little pieces like players, money cards ect from people who 've lost some or ruined them those make cute little decorations for table, and money cards you can make cool centerpieces from.

Great for wedding with a lot of kids because they can play the games.

Ive seen this done once and it wasnt tacky at all, it was fun. The wedding ceremonry itself was pretty typical, mainly just the receoption. I think the only difference was that when the flower girl came down she threw shreded monopoly money and some scrabble pieces.

My husband and I had a "luau" themed wedding.

my bridesmaids and I wore a sarongs(sp??) and my husband and his best men wore hawaiian shirts...everyone wore lai's and all the luau decorations. We had a keg and wine. BBQ for the food. It was all outside by a giant pool. it was the perfect wedding (for me and him) doing conga lines around the pool was great! My parents only spent maybe 800$...and most of that was the catered food! I highly recommend low key weddings..it was soooo less stressful than big church weddings!! good luck
