Singles & Dating - 19 November 2007

i have liked the same guy for 2 years. Nothing ever happened between us except we liked each other for a short period of time. I've been trying to get over him because I'm almost certain nothing will happen. Well, nothing works. I've tried making myself like other guys but it doesn't work. I keep going back to liking him. Is there any way I can forget about him and get on with my life? Why do i keep on going back to liking him? Detailed advice would be helpful. Thank you all for your help.

okay, the guy is a year younger (i'm m in grade 10 and he's in grade 9), and i'm not sure if or how i can tell him i may like him. but i don't know what i'll do if he doesn't feel the same way. 'Cause if i tell him and he doesn't feel the same way then i don't want it to be awkward... or more awkward in class and stuff. we don't talk outside of english class( last period) mayb a hi here or there in the halls, but thats it.

After visiting my bf for the weekend, I went back to school for class on Monday and Wednesday. At the end of my last class I found out that the thanksgiving break starts on Wednesday and thus the school is closed. I informed my bf of this and he told me to come home before 9 so that we could hang out. Laundry is free at school and costs at home. I took my laundry home cuz I wouldnt have enough time to do it at school if I want to be there to see my bf by 9. As I was driving home, I was talking to him and he announced that he wants to go visit his cousin and then try to make plans with him tomorrow. Initially, I wasnt going to come home till Thursday so that I can get a lot of homework done at school, hang out with friends and do a bunch of chores. What am I supposed to say or do? I have been putting him first... should I redo my priorities and put him after family, chores and friends? I am so confused. I even asked him on the phone if he was excited to see me and he answered "NO". =(

This guy had a major crush on me, but then he stopped liking me, and started ignoring me, after hearing rumors about me thinking that he was creepy, and that i didn't like him...

But the rumors weren't true, and I told him that, and I told him that I really like him (on AIM)... But he was already pissed off at me that day, and said to me "It's sad... But it's too late, like earlier it might have worked..." (This all happened within a week or two)

But the next day, he said "hi" to me (online, because he still kind of ignores me at school). and we talked normally.
Is he actually over me? Or is he considering giving me another chance?

And the thing is... he's a really sensitive guy... He believed those rumors because sometimes, I got really shy, and I couldn't talk to him... So he thought that I actually didn't like him... =( So he ignores me at school sometimes... I don't know what to do!

Hey. Im a sophomore in high school.. . .

A guy in my 0 period and 1 period, geometry and art.

he is
5'8
junior
a flirt

he encouraged me to join art or robotics club. . .
we talked for one night on the phone
he had a confession that he was really conceited and thinks highly of himself (those were his exact words)

keeps bringing down the freshmen in the football team n other freshmen ppl in art class that they were like SH*&/dumb ppl

2 weeks pass he called me every single night.. .didn't answer a single call.

There was just no connection, no spark, all he wanted was to talk about himself i don't even remember him asking me a single question except if i was single that was it. . . .he keeps talkin' on n on n on. . .about himself, wat he's gud at.

so finally i told him to stop callin' and don't want a bf ryt now.
im a very nice person, im never rude, n i told him nicely.

Heis so loud, n keeps talkin' on n on n on n on. i just wanthim2shutupalready.

10/1/07 I had my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years move in. We have had an up and down relationship. He cheated on me while we were dating and I found out he was addicted to speed. Well, he stopped cheating and the drugs..but, now we're living together. Everytime or just about everytime we argue, he either bails out the door says "F"U" to me and calls me a b*tch. He comes back after a few hours and we usually makeup. But today he did it again and the truth is I just had it. He's 42 and I'm 43 and I just don't want to spend my life with someone who runs out or calls me names. I was married for 18 years and my husband never did that sh*t. Anyhow, I told him we were through and don't come back. When he wants to pickup his stuff I'll have the police here for backup. I know I did the right thing but I'm hurting right now. Oh to top it off he threw his jacket at me...didn't hurt but I'm wondering all this behavior sounds like he's abusive..what do you think?

I had a really good friend who I cared about very much. She considered me her "best friend", but never really acted like it. She always envied me. But I still cared about her alot. She was in an abusive relationship a couple of years ago but was able to get out of it. I recently started suspecting that she was talking to him again, so I confronted her. She swore to me that she wasn't, she even put it on our friendship. Turns out she was talking to that trash again, so she moved out of her parents house and moved in with him again. I was very hurt and decided that as long as she was still with him, I wouldnt talk to her. But she has been trying to talk to me through Myspace, and truth is I do miss her. She swears that he's changed, but I doubt it. I just feel like if I do talk to her, that kind of means I'm supporting what she is doing.... Am I being a bad friend????? What should I do????

I moved to the Caribbean a few months ago and since then I have had a sexual reawakening.
I have had more lovers in the past five months here than I have had in 4+ years at home! I have had sex with 6 men and one of those occasions was a threesome with 2 men.(this is a first). I have also been intimate with another and kissed a girl!
Honestly?Its been mostly drunk or under the influence encounters - I've been going out 1000% more than I was at home and get 100 times more attention than I did at home. Basically I've turned into a party girl and want her to stop.
I'm very fit and young looking and very attractive so I get a lot of compliments (rarely got this at home though it did happen)
I need to stop (obviously) before I get myself a disease or a bad name or knocked up. I want to stop.
Alcohol doesnt help and I get flattered and turned on and feel a sense of wild adventure so I've 'gone for it'.
I need to say no from now on...any constructive advice?

i just got done talkin to this boy on the phone and we talk twice a week or so. he started by askin me how was my day i told him good you and he said good. then we started talkin random.
it was gettin a lil too quiet then i asked him do you remember that my birthday is on friday? [it really is] and he answered yes i never forget then i smiled. after i smiled he said he was sending me a gift for my birthday by mail. i said alright.
and we kept talkin and talkin then after we were about done talkin i asked him is that all you have to say he answered yeah you i said yeah.
then he said so talk to you later, i said see ya! then he just hung up.
oh yeah and i forgot to say something else hes lied to me before and it made me so upset that i stopped talkin to him for a week than he started talkin to me again.
and now im just afraid he is lying to me again about mailin the gift and our whole conversation.
was he just makin all of his sayings up?

I tend to believe in equality for women but at the same time equal responsibility. I know many women who complain about women not getting paid the same as men, not being promoted the same as men, yet almost all of them would rather marry a woman so they wont have to work as hard in getting a degree or finding and working in a job industry. I think equality should be all across the board. Women have fought and won alot of equal rights than they never had before so now they should step up to the table.

my girlfriend isnt bi. but the question was brought up if i thought her kissing another girl whenever was cheating.
i think it is. i mean just cause she cant get pregnant or anything doesnt mean its ok.
i said, if we were at a party or something and we were drunk and she asked me and i said i didnt care then i wouldnt mind. but if the situation came up and i wasnt there, i wouldnt definatly not be ok with that.
her only response was "none of my other bf's ever had a problem with it"

I am 24....i dated my first love for 3 years in highschool...we had a very bad break up and didnt speak to one another for another 2 years. He is the only guy that i have ever been in love with....A couple of years ago we became friends again, we speak and hangout occasionally.... more recently he has been expressing deeper feelings for me...wanting more...deeper friendship, possible relationship....However, with in this past year i have been finally feeling like i am really over him. But theres always that unexplainable feeling that i get when im with him....he will always have a small piece of my heart. I am not sure if i should pursue the possibility of a relationship? We worked very good in the past, but i feel like so much time has passed....we are to totally different people. Alright, I saw this girl while attending a church function and thought she was the most beautiful person I had ever seen. But was to shy to talk to her, so I went on feeling like a loser for not doing so. A couple of months passed and I was getting ready for prom. I never told my family who my date was and they said they would find me one. My grandmother said she knew a girl from church but I wasnt interested. Turned out to be the same girl I froze up on. It was one of the most embarrasing events in my history book when my grandmother decided to ask her to go to my prom with me. She didnt answer.
