Please don't have sex with a guy who is not committed to you. I mean who isn't more than a bf. You'll be giving a precious gift. What if he's moved on in a month, would you regret your action?

If you don't want kids, then don't have sex.
If you are willing to accept the consequences (pregnancy, raising a kid, herpes, HIV/AIDS, any other STDs, etc.) then proceed with caution. Condoms are great and they make extra thin ones so they are less noticable, but no matter what kind you get, they are not fool proof. Same way with birth control pills, shots, inserts, patches, etc...
As for whether it hurts or not... That differs from person to person and depends a lot on the "love" factor. You can think I'm crazy if you like. (I don't mind) Sex is so much better and so much less painful if there is love between the involved parties. You need to be in love with him and he needs to be in love with you and regardless of whether it's your first time or your hundredth time, it will feel incredible and no pain. You may feel some pressure that may cause discomfort so just let your b/f know so he can adjust his "technique" a bit.
Also, use a water based lubricant. It's much more comfortable and less likely to cause yeast infections, etc. A lot of people like KY. I have never used it and know nothing about it. But I have heard that the warming gel burns inside, so be careful. I use a product called "Just Like Me" by Pure
Romance. E-mail me if you want more info on that...
Also, before you make any final decisions, check out
www.nrlc.org - it's the national website and you should be able to find a chapter in your area...
or
www.cincinnatirighttolife.org - I live in Cinci and this site has great information on it...

Enjoy.

How old are you? How old is he? If he is 18 and you are not, he can be charged with statutory rape.
Yes it hurts the first time. And the second. And the third. Then it gets better.
If you have sex now, you will always want to have it. Your relationship will be built on sex. You won't be thinking of much else and neither will he.
Use some kind of contraception, because it is too easy to get pregnant. It really isn't worth the risk.
I wish I had waited to get married before I had sex. That would have been an awesome gift for the man that I loved enough to marry.

Yes it hurts. USE A CONDOM! And, I would also recommend looking into birth control if you intend to be sexually active. My b/f and I used condoms for awhile and I ended up being allergic to latex and it caused icky yeast infections. If I had been open and talked to my mom about me wanting to have sex, she could've told me the allergy runs in the family and I would have gotten the right protection that I needed, at least from pregnancy. Instead, I hid my relationship and b/f and I used the "withdrawal method" and I ended up pregnant at 16. Said b/f is now my husband and we have 3 beautiful children, but it doesn't always work out that way! Be careful and talk to someone you trust about birth control and what to expect your first time! It is a HUGE step!

if you are not willing to risk pregnancy, then you should not be having sex. the risk is not worth the hassle. i am 95% sure that your boyfriend will not be your husband. most high school relationships do not last, and you sound pretty young. speaking from experience, i would wait for the right guy. if you are questioning anyhting regarding having sex for the first time, you are not ready. just wait, whats the rush? because everybody else is doing it? not a good answer. maybe you should wait until you know in your heart that you are ready.

I like to think having sex for the first time and having a baby being both very painful. Make sure its with a special someone and go SLOW!. Even using a condom you can get pregnant. Condoms are only 97% effective. Birth Contrl is 99% effective. So be careful and good luck.

The only 100% way to not get pregnant is to not have sex. Of course you can use condoms or go on the pill, but remember they still have a failure rate. Yes sex hurts a bit the first time, but if you are both relaxed and aroused and willing to try different positions to see what works best for both of you, it will be fine.

Let's see, there's diaphrams you could use, the "bullet" which is a sperm killer, condoms, morning after pills which is actually 72 hour pill called Plan B, be on the monthly pill (you'd have to have already been on it for a month to work though), many many options.
As for the hurting you thing, have him sort of ease you into it by finger playing first. That should help, if your body won't allow his fingers in, then maybe you're not ready for the big finger to be let in.

If a girl is too young, it has been known to hurt.

Here are some guidelines:

- You have to have regular periods.

- Your hymen should be gone through sports or use of a tampon.

- You should have visited your Gyno at least 3 times

- You should have at least discussed birth control one time with your Gyno.

- You should never, ever, ever have sex with a guy unless he uses a condom. If you are too young, shy, embarrassed to go buy a box - you are too young to be having sex.

Sex is like fire. It's wonderful, and warming, but it can burn you, sometimes badly.

(We have not even gotten to how your relationship will change once you start having sex with your b/f.)

If it is your first time yes it will hurt or in the least be uncomfortable and more than likely awkward....And if your going to have sex at all and dont want to get pregnant or std/sti's use condoms AND other forms or birth control such as the pill, shot, spermicide cream but at least use one......one form of birth control is better than none at all.

okay well if it is not against your religion than you can use condoms. you could also start taking birth control, the patch, you can use a once monthly vaginal insert to prevent pregancy and stds. . .there are so many methods for safe sex.

and for your second question, yes and no. i mean, it generally hurts because it is penetrating, making the hole bigger, but every girl is different. some girls have a really small hymen so it makes no difference, except for maybe a slight discomfort.

also, if your b/f has a small you know what then it will not hurt as much.

to make it not hurt, you can kinda stretch it out w/ your fingers, or he can do it. ya know, whatever.
