Marriage & Divorce - 4 August 2007

I left my husband cause he is a acholic and we have 2 daughters together. I just could not take it anymore. I am living at home with my parents and lets just say it is not working out. I cannot get along with my mother and I just feel like there is no hope. I am 27 and I don't have any education and I am just really stuck. I can't leave my parents house cause I have nowhere to go with my daughters. I was depressed with my husaband and now I have all these new problems on my hands. Anyone have any good advice for me to get back on my feet with 2 kids and no education and no money to do anything. Thanks so much!

Recently my husband has been on craigslist posting ads for sex. Then I found pictures on his phone of naked girls parts. I confronted him and he says he was just playing around and it was nothing serious. He said he just got bored and wanted something to do. I called the # from one of the girls pictures and she said she didn't know him and had never talked to him-just sent pictures for fun. He swears he has stopped but I don't know how to begin to trust him. Any advice would be wonderful

Why do i feel this way? We havent been seperated for too long but everytime my ex says something (or posts surveys on myspace) he always makes comments that "he wishes he was with the person on his mind" and that "he only speaks to his ex because of the kids" and "of course there is someone i like" and on and on. It hurts because HE's the one who had an emotional affair and I told him to get out and he is acting like he's still wanting to hurt me...what coudl i have possibly done to make him hate me so much? He pulled away and he's moved on so fast....was I just a waste?

how th hell do u work this? there got me for 30 dollars and there is no number or n e thing to contact these people !!!!!!!! im pissed i put my dads name in there who is dead and it says no matches i would of never got this **** if when i put my boyfriends name in to find out if hes been married it said yes but i had to pay to get the results now its says no matches this is BULLSHIT

I dont understand what the problem is niether of us have ever been married we live as if we were married but yet nothing. Sometimes when he is talking to his buddies they will ask him what he is waiting for and he acts like A jerk, He will say things like marry her? like im gross to him or something. Or he will say Im not marring her I dont plan on it either. How can I explain to him that his words are just flat out hurtfull?

I happen to know a woman who is one of those seemingly rare types that really doesn't want to have children, and has known this all her life. She has recently met a man who does want kids, and their relationship is rather new so they have not discussed it. He has made a few comments such as, "When I am more established in my career, then I can focus on my family" and "Maybe my future son or daughter will go to this-or-that school some day." They are both in their late 30's.

I am curious about how many men want children who would be willing to sacrifice that dream to stay with the woman of their dreams, if she doesn't want to have any.....

Marriage as a whole, I think needs some major rework! Yes its true wemen. Otherwise, the divorce rate wouldn’t be what it is.

Could it be that these "traditional" marriages just aren't cut out for modern times? These are unrealistic expectations to live up to and totally unnecessary.

What are your ideas to fix the marriage "institution"?

I figure this should be a law. BY LAW when a woman ties down a man in marriage, she should at least perform her duty. If not, then cheating should be alowwed BY LAW.

Ive weird problem my bf wants me to think hes cheating on him when hes not.No,hes not preparing to cheat.I told him if he wants to break up we can break up and im not wanting commitment.But he doesnt want to break up or commit but continue our relationship.Hes 36 single works in medical field If i break up he wants me back.Dont say hes cheating,will wants to cheat,commitment phobic,will propose those are not reasons why hes trying his best to make me think hes cheating when im sure hell not cheat on me.What do you think and what do i do to make him stop it

I grew up without a family mostly, segregated from others of the familys I was with. Forced into situations I didn't wish to be part of and talked down to by people who thought of me as trash. Those same people today love me after they grew up a bit. But, I am a product of that enviroment. On top of that my most fufilling/long relationship in my life is also my most unappetizing. I did everything I could to be their friend, but they insulted me by calling me selfish and rude. They said they never loved me, or they did but it wasn't for long. So now the happy memorys I do have aren't all too eventful in my mind and I'm almost anxiety stricin in hurt from her words. All's I have in my life are people who don't keep their word and hurt normally. I've never had anyone there who wanted to be there... How can I really ever find someone when I don't know what I'm looking for in the first place?... P.S .. if anyone mentions god I'm going to slap you... thats not a valid answer.

i went to work tonite when my husband came to pick me up i asked how the kids were etc.... i then asked who bathed the kids and he tld me that my friends 12 yr old daughter bath all 3 of them one is 1 yr, 5yr and the last is 8 but you see as a child i was abused and am proyective over my kid my husband was watching tele this is why he could not do it. when he told me ths it mad me ngry inside this girl who bathed my kids is nasty i put up with her for the sake of my bst m8 am iout of order for feeling like this

My ex and I are getting ready to change our custody papers. Unfortunately it is not going to be easy because neither one of us agrees. The kids are currently in counseling to help them through this stressful time. Can I call the counselor that their dad will be sending them to and find out how they are doing? I still have all my rights but am planning on moving out of state hence the reason we are going to court.

4. Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6. Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

I have heard well the reason a man or a woman commits adultry is because there needs are not being met at home.
And that is not always true.

I know of a wonderful woman who got maried and blessed her husbnad with 4 beatuiful children. Things were going well.

My sibling finds out that this man left her and her family for a 21 year old and this woman is the kindest person I ever met.

In regards to marriage why does adultry happen and why do the good people who were cheated on suffer so much, why does this occur?

Okay, I need some marital advice:
My husband does not see having children and making sure they have a good education important and I do. The most important thing to my husband is to pay off the house early (he wants to pay it off in 16 months) and to have business so that we become millionaires. I really want to have 3 kids and home school or two kids and private school. I am in my mid 30s.
Before we married, he knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom and agreed to it. After we married, now he says he can't afford to pay all the bills by himself-plus he sees stay at home moms as "lazy". He never said that until after we married. I am willing to work full time, but I want the kids in private school. How do we balance? When we talk about the future he hardly ever mentions children. When he does he says-when we can afford it...
