Marriage & Divorce - 20 August 2006

My husband's sister and I have not gotten along for 4 years. Too long of a story but for the main reason she felt I was trying to take her parents away by making them like me more than her! Not true my parents are alive and well, and we have a wonderful relationship. My husband use to tell me things his sister would say about me (negative things) I use to get mad and have wonderful smart@ss combacks, but my husband and I would fight (verbal) fo days. My mom said thats no the right way so I quit talking about his sister when he would tell me more negative things she would say. I would tell him if you sister say something in regards to me leave it at her house, don't bring it in mine. However he con't to bring up mean things she says, I tried ignoring him when he says them, but he just keeps on telling them to me. I have confonted him several times about it, he apoligize saying he didn't know it would "upset me" What should I do? Any helpful advice?

Last October I found out that my wife had an affair while I was away on some military training. I lived in denial for a few months, now we're separated. There was a nasty mudslinging battle, during which I made a special visit to my hometown to meet the other guy. I got statements and pictures from him as well as statements from her former best friend who snitched on her. That night as soon as I was done talking to him, I came back, only this time a little more dressed up. I picked up a woman and you fill in the blank. I was surprised how easy that was. I saw her on a few occasions and moved on to other women. Five altogether. I was on a high, if you want to call it that. Now my wife wants to get back together. She has confessed the whole thing. I thought I wouldn't feel so bad about it but I was wrong. Nothing I did made it any better. I can forgive her but I can't see us being together again. This whole thing started a war between the families. Has anyone else ever felt this way?

im 22 my husband 23 and we have an 18 month old. but now my husband all he does is watch prison break and work he wont even kiss me or hug me,.help he only buys me diamonds and stuff but doesnt show his affection and we rarely have sex only like 2 times a month he says i killed his mojo cus when i was pregnant the last months i didnt wanna do it and now its like we've just given up being affectionate. but we get along well we're like good friends that are just friends

ok i went to see if this guy was divorced ( a friend of mine ) and they had no record of a divorce or marriage.. but they were married is it possable that the minister did not send in the paperwork or something?????

Have you ever made your mind up 100% that a marriage/relationship is over and than later been persuaded to change your mind and start up again with your ex? What persuaded you to change your mind and did it work out? The reason I ask is that my wife wants to end our marriage because she says that the spark has disappeared and she doesn't think it will ever come back. I thought there was someone else but she says this not true and I believe her. She says she loves me still and we will see a lot of each other for the sake of our children. I love my wife more than anything else and this is tearing me apart. Can I really persuade her to change her mind or if I move out will she just forget me and find someone else? Serious answers please, I am in a lot of pain.

How do you know when it's time to end a relationship? My husband and I have been together nearly 7 years, but I know it's one of the most unhealthy relationships I've ever had? He REFUSES to get a job and insists on working for himself although he averages $800 a month which puts all the bills on me, making me hateful and unbearing as I try to convince him it's time to grow up. His family talks down to him and doesn't included him in anything (including the fact that he didn't receive an invitation to his own brother's wedding and wasn't told when his uncle passed away so he could go to the funeral). We have a nearly non-existing sex life (very difficult for a Latin woman who is all rage and fire) - and no amount of talking I do will get through to him. I KNOW I'm not perfect, can be a nag, and a million other downfalls a woman can be accused of... but I have heard from friends and family and I know this marriage is unhealthy. He has good points but that won't save us. What do I do?

In the past my husband and I have looked at porn together, I don't have any problem with porn OR any problem with him looking at it without me. My problem is that I discovered he has been looking at it and hiding it from me. Getting up from bed late at night or doing it when he says he is doing something else...even when I ask, "what were you looking at.." he lies. We have a good sex life. My husband and I have been together for almost 2 years. I've noticed that he started treating me differently almost immediately after we got married. He always gets mad at me about stupid, little things. He makes sure I know how stupid and worthless I am. Today he got mad at me for some reason I'm not really sure of now because it was so small, but he told me that I am stupid, called me a *****. I asked him what was wrong, my answer was , " You being alive is whats wrong." Before I met him my confidence and self-esteem was better than it ever was, but then he came along and it's like he's tore me down into nothing.

Is this emotional abuse? What should I do about it? Should I leave him?

Do you think a family shelter would take me and my daughter in?(we have a 10 month old baby together)
