I don't mean the love of children, parents or even God. I mean the love in a relationship or marriage. I still love the man that left me (after spending most of our adult lives together) and I feel that we're going to get together again, simply because it was meant to be. I know I'm setting my self up for disappointment but on the other hand it feels good to love. To know that you're capable of such devotion. It almost feels like a universal kind of love. Anybody understand this or am I an idiot?

There are so many horror stories I hear about marriage. Do you think that marriage is a bad idea? I've been with my husband for 4 years and there are so many people who tell me "just wait" when I tell them my marriage is very happy and healthy. My husband and I have always been very happy together, why is it that everyone thinks happy marriages are doomed?

My exhusband and I were 2gether for almost 5years. We were seperated for a cpl months before our divorce. The divorce was finalized a cpl of weeks ago. A few minutes ago, I heard from his brother in law(which is a good friend of mine, still)that my ex is dating someone else, and also has moved and sold our house(which was sold off to pay past debt..P.S Should I take him back to court to get some of that house value? He is selling it to pay back the rent debt)Now that these things are going on, dating someone..basically moving on..how should I feel and deal with it?

A young woman, in her 20's , takes good care of herself, athletic, loves life and having fun, married for 4 years almost five, have two kids. She has a high sex drive, her husband is a good man, but he's fat and lazy, he avoids intimacy because he's always tired, and when they do it, it's not even good. She tried everything, made him go to the gym, bought him new clothes, tried to find some sort of hobby that they can do together, but he's always too busy for her.
what should she do? is it okay to get divoreced only because she is sexually not satisfied??!! she's my best friend and i told her not to do anything stupid like getting a divorce, he's a good man, she has to deal with it, what do you think?

Would you send someone to spy on your spouse? Or would you send someone to tempt them to see if they would cheat on you? What do you think they would do? This is for men and women. I would do it to my husband.

So, my girlfriend and i have been together for 7 years in a mostly long distance relationship, we went to seperate colleges have seperate careers (she is in Med School - I am in sales), both of us have felt like we needed a break at one point or another but we have never broken it off completely. there has been true love here the kind you may never find in a million years of searching. She decided that she loves me, but is no longer in love (for now). We still talk everyday and see eachother once in awhile, She is my bestfriend, but i can not just be friends with her right now there is no initimacy, she has been coming around more and being warmer with hugs and actual passionate kisees. But still needs to time. What else can i do to get her back...not convince her or trick her to love me, but get her to feel the same way.

We've been married almost a year and my husband loves martial arts. He stopped his Kung Fu practice around the time of our wedding (last Sept) because it was too costly with everything else. Now he wants to get back into it and he's found a place close to us that's less expensive. He wants me to join him because he thinks we should have a hobby together. I definitely agree to that! I'm not sure I'm cut out for martial arts - I'm of small build and very nervous about learning those kind of practices in front of a group. In fact, I workout 5 times a week but all from home. I'm just not big into group activities - yet I could definitely learn a lot from this. He mainly wants me to take self defense classes, and I really could benefit from them. Part of me wants to do this and the other part is scared to try something new. He's a great guy and I love that he is always looking for ways to do things together. Thoughts?

All time low levels of happiness in marriages, all time high divorce rates since feminism has taken root. Do most women no longer care about their husbands needs? Not wants, needs. Men have needs just like women do. Why are men's needs by and large considered less important? What do you think?

Don't forget the word "most" in the line above. Not all, most.

They are not married. The house they live in was given to her in our divorce. I have heard that if two people live together in California for 6 months that I would be relieved of my spousal support.

My husband and I got back together after being seperated for almost one year. We have two young boys and have been together for the past three weeks. We were out eating Saturday and his phone rang, it was a good friend of his(a female). I got really disturbed, and the way he spoke to her was really uncomfortable, because I know that she said, "Does she get mad?" and he said, "Oh No, not at all." We had talked about this when getting back together, and I agreed that I would be patient with him because after seperating he got lots of female friends, and I know that they are just "friends" as he says. He apologized that day and said to please understand, but I know this girl and I know that he just talkes to her as "friends" but as a wife and woman sometimes it is hard. I prefer to hear him speak to whoever calls in front of me than for him to do it as a secret, and I believe that if I do trust him then that's how it should be right? Any advice?

Maybe it's just me and being used to the long relatonship I was in, I could ask for a BJ and simply get it. I thought it would be same after the date on Saturday especially after we had drinks and we were going to bed after kissing and playing. Ladies: How would have you reacted, was I wrong to ask. What would have you done?

I always wanted to have a lot of children and also to foster some kids. I was homeless for a period of time when I was 16 and it was really hard. I wanted to offer a safe place to kids that found themselves in the same situation. My husband had 3 kids when we met and I had one, then we have one together. He decided he did not want any more children and had a vasectomy. He also will not allow any fostering or adopting as he just doesn't really like kids. No patients for them. I had to give up my dream of fostering and having more children. What sort of compromises have you made or what kind of things have you had to give up?
FYI- I love my husband. His children are older, grown and gone.

why do men always say they want a "threeway"? If a man begs enough and the wife actually follows thru with it, is she just providing his desires to save their marriage? or is the marriage already doomed for lusting to others?

I do beleive in God. But I am struggling with one thing. If I were to divorce due to emotional and verbal abuse and lets say remarry the man that I would remarry would be committing adultry. IS there anything that say otherwise or is there any other answers to this. I belive deep down in my heart I have found my soul mate who can love me like there is no tomorrow. The problem is he said that he would be commiting adultry if he were to marry me and I am trying to find if there even is anything that says that he would be forgiven.
