My husband and I have been married for 7 yrs and we've had some problems recently. I find that I have almost no tender feelings for him any more. I don't hate him, and I'm not really mad at him anymore. Is it over?

We have been married for 38 years. He will have a pension from his job of 30 years and I have no pension of my own. Then hopefully there will be Social Security. Because that is all I will have.
We own a home but still owe on it, probably more then it is worth. I do not want the house. I just want out of it. He can have it.
There are no other assets.
I stayed home with our children till the youngest was in school full time. I have only been working for about 14 years now at various physicians offices. So no pension in my name.
I have a couple of small life insurance policies where the kids are listed as my beneficiaries.

I feel like my wife doesn't respect me anymore. Just yesterday I said "I want a sandwich" and instead of running over to make me one like she used to she said "Why don't you try saying please?". Can you believe that?!?! I mean, it's her place to make me sandwiches. It's her place to do the cleaning and the cooking. That's women's work right? She's trying to say that I should "chip in" around the house. That maybe I should start putting my underwear in the hamper, that maybe it's time for me to wake up and feed the baby. I just want to say "Listen, just because you have a job and I'm still trying to find one, doesn't mean that I need to start doing women's chores". Why should I put my underwear in the hamper? She's the one that does the laundry. Plus, I'm usually too drunk to put them away.

I just don't understand why women have stopped respecting men. Any ideas?

We have been together for 9 years adn married for 3. He has always been verbally abusive and has improved somewhat. However, he still cust me down for being a little over weight, pointing out girls in catalogs, tv shows etc saying he wishes I could look like that or wear something like that etc. He is constantly criticisizing me for one thing or another. It could be that house not up to his standards or the way I disipline the kids. It could be anything. I truely believe that if he is not complaining or griping about something he's not happy! I love him but I am miserable and unhappy because of the way he and the things he says. We also have tem custody of my step son and my husband is a truck driver and is rarely home. I have complete responsibility of this child plus my children. I feel I am being taken advantage of and don't know what to do. Help me, I feel that by staying I am just prolonging the inevitable. What should I do?

Is anyone here from Michigan and used these services?
What was your experience?
We will have an uncontested divorce with joint custody of the children, so it is not complicated and I don't want to spend unnecessarily on lawyers.

My best friend for years is getting divorced. We have always been best friends and had a bit of tension in our friendship beyond just normal friends. Now that she is getting a divorce, and following Virginia Law, of being seperated for an entire year before you can be divorced, she and I have come clean on our feelings. Is it appropriate to ask her to marry me now with the understanding that we wouldn't get married until it was legal and all the divorce stuff was settled? Or is it wronng to ask someone wo marry you when they are technically still married? We bot agree that we will get married asap, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if I asked her.
