Dildos are a development that started in the early 1800's. Doctors would devise a simple machine for masturbating women. They would go to the doctor when they would be bitchy, irritable, hard to get along with. They were diagnosed with a type of hysteria where the doctor would simply use a device or his hand to manually masturbate the woman to orgasm. This was a wide spread practice and accepted norm of our society.
