Yes, but that doesn't mean I agreed with everything that happened in the process...its basically a discussion with your partner with a voice of reason on the side...In order to take full advantage of your reasons that brought you to such a discussion both should be totally honest..the truth prevails...unfortunately in my case the truth set me free...but the marriage counseling got me through such a tough time.

I was in marriage counciling and it didnt work for us, but we still got back together. The counciler was always taking my wife's side of everything and I had to bow down to what she wanted. Finally I stopped going and I seperated from my wife and I told her this is what I want or I am filing for divorce. She didnt believe me at all. I got the lawyer and sent her the papers, we met that weekend and we talked and worked things out on our own. So in my case it didnt work.

No it was a waste of money. I have found out that 95% of everything my conselor said was a lie. I'm not saying that MC never works, she just wasn't the right one for us. I think individual counseling works much better than MC, because you have to work on yourself before you can work on being a unit. If you need MC, then try it and see...it may work for you. Just didn't work for me. Good luck.

My marriage wasn't bad, but we had a few things to fix. My husband doesn't believe in counseling so I went myself. I would come back and tell him about the session and little by little the little problems we had got fixed. So yeah it helps even when both people don't go. I think both people have to be open to change though.

I have never been to one because i prayed to God when i was having a problem and he helped me through it and i learned to forgive and get past it. But i highly recommned marriage counseling to any one or marriage that needs it and God has called me to be a marriage counselor someday. My husband and I are involved the marriage misistries at our church.
