im 16 i just got my license. before i got my license my parents always told me that i'll have more freedom when i pass my driving test. but it doesnt seem like i do. i wanted to go to church this Sunday then after go for a swim with my dog everything is only 15 minutes away. my parents were quiet when i told them and asked me if i wanted them to take me to church. i kindly said no. then my mom started asking me well what if i got a flat tire or ran out of gas? i said i'll only be driving for 15 minutes how could i run out of gas. but she didnt seem to understand or want to understand. it's like they don't trust me. and they're protectiveness isn't out of love anymore; protecting out of love can only be so much. i'm growing up, they HAVE to get that, if they dont let me try on my own then they dont really love me.

I am a teen. I do my homework and stuff. I bring home A's and B's. I follow my parents rules, but sometimes get really mad and give them attitude (but thats rarely ever). I have never been grounded because I always do what my parents say (even if I don't want to). I am a dancer and spend half of my life at my dance studio. I do an internship teaching for my own money there, but I give it to my parents to help with tuition because I don't need the money. I do chores around the house (clean room, dishes, take care of pets, garbage, set table). Here is what makes me feel spoiled; I own a cell phone (got my 1st when I was 10years old) 2 iPods (I gave my old 1 to my parents) 1 Gameboy and 7 games, and 1 computer laptop on the way. I have A LOT of clothes and A LOT of jewelery. The thing is, I appreciate it. I never ask for much, and I always tell them thanks and do stuff for them to. Like the iPod, was my only gift for x-mas and my phone was my b-day gift.

Her family is falling apart, her mom and dad wont stop cursing at each other, and she gets caught in it. her dad has threatened to put her mom in a nursing home cause she is in a wheelchair. if that happens, she moves to oklahoma, if that happens she'll never see my mom or stepdad again. if she moved shed have to live with her dad and stepmom (lets just say her stepmoms not the nicest person in the world) Her stepdad and mom talk bad about my dad in oklahoma. just cause her mom dosent love him anymore dosent mean that she doesnt. she always get put in the middle.

Any advice for her??

Mothers’ day is coming, please tell me, is this a good idea, I sell Avon and my brother gave me this idea... (He said it would work for the men who just don't know what to get... and the men who work too late to go shopping...) make gift baskets... and do a "build your own basket" or a “You pick the price” where you tell me what you want in the basket and I put it together. And charge...

Ex.
Small basket: $1.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.
Medium basket: $2.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.
Large basket: $3.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.

Do you think this would work???

would it work in a small town???

I have always been the one to make sure my mother and father n law gets to see my children, which they have several other ones to. But every time the other grandchildren have a birthday or something else going on in their life, my inlaws make a big deal of it and have to buy them the biggest and best gift there is. Then when its time for my childrens birthday they dont even so much as achknowledge them with a phone call, my children used to ask me why but now as they have grown older they seem to understand how it goes. I just want to know what i can do to make this change, it hurts me to know that my children are secretly hurting

My cousin is an arrogant douchebag. 12 years ago, he immigrated to this country (U.S.), with all his possessions in a suitecase. He couldn't find a job. My dad bought a convenience store so that my cousin can have a job. After working there for about a year, my cousin had made some money, so he threatened to not work there anymore if my dad doesn't sell the store to him for the exact same price that he bought it at. Since my dad was at the time busy with his other businesses, he wouldn't be able to run the convenience store if my cousin didn't work there, so he sold it to him, and my dad got away with no profit.

Ever since then, he's shown such a big ego in everything that he does, he always puts me down and treats me like a little kid. He never even thanked my dad or showed gratitude. He's so arrogant (the other day he hung up on me). He acts extra nice in front of everyone, but he doesnt give a damn. What should I do to get revenge on him?

of the opposite sex. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We are divorced. But my kids are 2 and 5 and wander at night. My husband believes that itis perfectly OK if the kids walk in on him boinking his latest conquest. I don't. I date but I don't have anyone staying over on my half of the month.

I am asking for information from people who successfully placed this in their orders. How did you do it? What evidence did you present? Thanks.

Ok, I know most of you are going to say you are just young and immature but I really don't think thats it. I am of 13 years of age and my sister will be 12 in May. Whenever I talk to someone like my mom or dad she always whispers something under her breath like how stupid or shut up and I mean I could not have even been doing anything to her. Sometimes my mom leaves us here to go to the store or to run go to pay a few bills. While she is gone she usually asks us to tidy up. I normally get the kitchen, my bedroom and sometimes the bathroom and my sister gets the living and her room and when we are done we do ours parent's room together and promises mom before she leaves that she will clean. I do my jobs and tell my sister its almost time for mom to get home and she better do her chores. Well she either goes 'BLA BLA BLA' while I am speaking or just plain ignores me and that like triggers something that makes me so mad so then I start yelling.

I had to tell my family to back off and even moved away. I set bounderies for how I felt mistreated and set bounderies for how they were treating my young children. It became so messy, I moved away. Now, 9 months later, my confidence is rising, my kids are happier and expressive (and even dont' have tantrums anymore!) They are hurt and think I am so wrong (as usual) but the facts speak for themselves.

I am scared sometimes as single mom... what if I need them? But I won't ever put myself in the place to NEED someone who has to hurt me to help me again. For the first time I realize. I am the mom. This is MY daughter. MY son. I feel like we are a true family unit and deserve respect as a family.

Has anyone else had to just wing it.. leave their family behind.. hope that you did the right thing. And the result of that was that your life got so much better that you KNOW you did the right thing and their guilt trips and temper tantrums back home have lost their power?
