I am a teen. I do my homework and stuff. I bring home A's and B's. I follow my parents rules, but sometimes get really mad and give them attitude (but thats rarely ever). I have never been grounded because I always do what my parents say (even if I don't want to). I am a dancer and spend half of my life at my dance studio. I do an internship teaching for my own money there, but I give it to my parents to help with tuition because I don't need the money. I do chores around the house (clean room, dishes, take care of pets, garbage, set table). Here is what makes me feel spoiled; I own a cell phone (got my 1st when I was 10years old) 2 iPods (I gave my old 1 to my parents) 1 Gameboy and 7 games, and 1 computer laptop on the way. I have A LOT of clothes and A LOT of jewelery. The thing is, I appreciate it. I never ask for much, and I always tell them thanks and do stuff for them to. Like the iPod, was my only gift for x-mas and my phone was my b-day gift.

my gameboy was for getting all A's for the year and the computer is because our family comp. died and my parents think I should have my own, but they did say, if I don't maintain A's and B's, my comp. is GONE! I just feel like I am spoiled because my only a few of my friends have cell phones and iPods. None of them have their own comps. Some of them don't even have a lot. I am not snotty. I don't brag about my stuff.

Dear one you sound more like your bragging. Spoiled has nothing to do with things of the such that you've mentioned it's actually an attitude and a rotton spirit. I encourage you to talk to your priest or pastor. Sit in prayer and ask God what his plan for your life is ... I will be praying for you.
The prayer of St. Francis says it best.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Your bragging. And your just looking for attention. And being spoiled has not a thing to do with what you have it's an attitude and yes you sound spoiled.

I dont think spoiled is the right word.You sound very fortunate. And you seem to be a good person from what you said. Always remember, the things you have , or the life you have , can all be gone, POOF!, in an instant. So never, ever take any of it for granted as so many do. Trust me ,i know from experience what it is to "have it all " then to loose it all faster than i could even see,Its so easy to just live everyday like this is all the way its supposed to be.Real gratitude comes from within your heart. Focus on your dancing and cherish every moment of life , and please keep in mind that its better to be spoiled with love and acceptance than with material things.

You sound really empty ... and I feel sorry for you. You are bragging, looking for attention and why don't you go ask your family if your spoiled. Your attitude is also very self-centered.
I encourage you to find greater depth in your day to day activities.

Dear Danielle

It all depends on your attitude, not the things you have.

It sounds like you are very responsible and thankfull, this is worth more than any amount of iPods, laptops, gameboys, jewelery or cell phones.

Count your blessings daily, be thankfull for what you have, and work hard at all you do, and you will always be blessed becacuse of it.

Take great care;

-Daniel

P.S remember what your name means Danielle its the same as mine "Judged by God", dont let anyone else tell you that your spoiled, let only God be your judge.

No, you're not spoiled. It sounds like your parents can afford to give you these things and you deserve them. I know many other kids who get whatever they want, whenever they ask and they do nothing around the house except give grief!

So I don't think your parents are being excessive and I agree you do need a PC for your school work these days.

I'd say you are lucky and your parents obviously want you to achieve and so do you!

Best wishes

welp, it sounds like you're describing me... only i don't have gameboy, computers, lots of clothes. I bought my one and only 30 gb ipod by working all summer for a lousy construction company but it broke. and all my jewlery come from friends and family on special occasions because they know i love necklaces. but i don't ask for anything, even on my birthday. and i do what i'm told the word "grounded" has never been uttered under this roof. but.... my cousin says i'm spoiled. in my opinion you aren't spoiled you parents really love you and you worked for what you have, that is not spoiled... in America. but anyone who owns a flush toilet can be called spoiled.
