This is a very confusing Question at times it sounds like you are talking about a Friend but then near the end you sound like you are talking about you. Maybe with a little more info like exactly why why her step dad and mom would be talking bad about your dad in Oklahoma why doesn't her mom love him anymore its first person its confusing need clarification.

First of all, I don't believe that your step dad has the legal stance to put your mom in a nursing home unless she was mentally unstable and he was her legal guardian- but not just because she's in a wheel chair.

Secondly, talk to your parents and let them know how upset you are by their behavior and that you want to be a family and have a happy life together. If they simply don't respond to you (or get angry because of it) then I believe you should talk to your dad in Oklahoma. If I were you, I wouldn't listen to what your parents have to say about your dad. When adults get hurt in relationships they lash out at each other in many ways. Putting their ex-partner down is the easiest way to do this. I always believe there really is two sides to every story and I don't take any sides until I know both of the stories. And then, I don't always take a side, rather, I stand back and out of the way.

If you have a pastor or school counselor you could talk to just to ease your worries then by all means ...talk to them!

I will keep you in my prayers and I wish you all the best.

if she's your best friend, why not let her live with your family. she just needs someone who cares and wants her to become the adult she should become. she need love.
