It's as if they're not living with us anymore! A little help here? Plus, our adopted sis always stays at her biological folks' home! But she said she chose us (I mean the family she grew up in) over them!

There have been two problems:

(1) I have repeated begged this person to ask who is on the phone when she answers a call for me. She repeatedly refuses and gets angry when I tell her that asking who it is is the polite thing to do. Today she did it again and then after I hung up she asked who was on the line. I told her that I wouldn't tell her because she obviously didn't care who it was in the first place. Now she's really angry and acts like I victemized her.

(2)The same family member also refuses to tell the person on the line that I am not availible when I am sleeping. She will wake me up at the crack of dawn and give me the phone instead of telling the person to call back later. I have asked her to change this behavior, but she refuses. Sometimes when she does this I will tell the person I'm busy and hang up on them. This makes her angry.

Who is in the wrong here?
What should I do differently?
Why does she refuse to do these simple acts of politeness?

I moved in with my bf about 2 months ago. He has a 7 year old son who stays with us every other week. It doesn't exactly drive me crazy, but it is a strain, and I feel absolutely crushed and drained by the end of the week. The weekends are the worst ofcourse, since he's home all day.
Anyway, his parent's are coming to visit this weekend, so he's taking his son for this weekend as well. That means 3 weekends in a row. To make things worse, they're having a "family" get together with the child's mother. I feel I can't go because she doesn't like me, and has some mental problems, so I don't want her freaking out if I show up. To make things even more complicated, he doesn't want me to tell them what I do for a living (it's not illegal or anything. Just due to their personal political beliefs, they might not like it. He thinks I should lie for the weekend so they can "get to know me" before we tell them the truth).
So...how do I get through the weekend?

Alright so here's the deal...I have been with my fiancee now for 2 yrs. and we each have a child from our previous marriages. My daughter is soon to be 9 and his just turned 6 a few months back. The two of them get along ok at best. My fiancee seems to think that in a few(?) years that my daughter should be able to babysit his daughter and I told him today that I did not see that as ever happening and he got so angry about it. He made a comment that "great we will never have a life" and "I can't believe you wouldn't make her babysit the other". I just don't feel that it should have to be my daughter's responsibility to babysit his daughter. I feel they are for one, too close in age, second, they don't get along well enough now for the younger one to even pay any mind to the requests of the older one, even when they are just playing together, third I do not want the misbehavior of his child to result in punishment of mine. He thinks I am being unreasonable. Any thoughts or advice?

I am a teenager. A female. And very girly and atleast I think I;m pretty which people have told me. So now you know that I am the typical preppy high school girl. You would never guess that my dream career is to be a Airline Pilot. It runs in my family, like my uncle was a private pilot for John Travolta for 15 years but anyway. It's not hard to figure out that an Airline pilot is totally not a "women's" job and that there are not alot of women in it, yet preppy ones. I want to know if you think i am waisting my time dreaming about a career that no body will support me in????

I am eight hours away from my mother and siblings. Now, understand, I have five younger siblings who still live at home with my mother. My only connection to the 6 of them (mom and sibs) is by phone, so I try to call as much as possible.

The thing is, my 16yo white sister is dating a 19yo black guy. I don't put the colors in because they matter to me- but because they matter to my mom. It concerns me that she's dating someone so much older. I mean, I know from experience- at 17 I got pregnant by a 21yo, and I know the stuff that follows- him not wanting anything to do with a baby, a pregnant woma, etc- but that's not the problem right now.

The current issue is my mom, because for her, the issue with my sister is the boyfriend's color. Every time I talk to her, she starts up about "Stacey dating a" and uses the capital N. Like today- going on about how she can't keep my sister away from the [that horrible word]s, how yesterday she caught my sister coming from the home of a

She's never met my fiance before. She says she'd like someone who could make her laugh for a sister-in-law. And I know my fiance could make her laugh. But I fear she wouldn't like her. I mean we're twins and ever since childhood, we swore to do everything together. I mean I feel like that's not fair 'cause she's still single and I'm getting married ahead of her. That could be a reason to hate her. What do you guys think?

so why does my fathers' Indian family refuse to accept us as part of their family even when we do more for them than we do for any other members of our family? They treat my mother worse than a dog and walk out of the room when she comes in. They never call her by her name and are just so rude. Is this normal because it's normal for us. I don't speak any of the Indian laguages although I understand more than I admit to. I know they just don't like us but we have done nothing wrong except not be Indian. Why does this happen in this day and age? Is this normal for Indian? I hate visiting Indian relatives, I'd rather visit Baghdad!

How do I deal with a brother and sister in law who seem to hate everything about me?
My mother and father in law, even my husband's grandfather seem to really enjoy my company and even comment how I am probably the best thing to happen to him (heck, even his boss)
but the brother and sister do nothing but disrespect me and say awful things about me, and the only thing done about it is that the grandfather apologizes about 50 times over, but they continue to belittle me..
Short of taking a whooping stick to 'em how do I deal with this?
