My cousin died in her sleep many years ago and I wanna know how she could've possibly died. She had an autopsy and they couldn't find the cause of death. She was 4 years old at the time. Is dying of a bad dream a possibility?

Some times the "being" that is inhabiting the body decides to go play a different game, that, or maybe she wasn't pleased with her choice of parents, either way, it is a choice made.
I know my answer won't be popular, not real to many, as with choices, that's OK........;}

I was in a business where everyday I went to about 4 or 5 different houses and talked to people quite a bit. Sometimes they would really open up to me and tell me the strangest things. I met this one lady 15 years or so ago and I am usually pretty good at talking to people and they tell me stuff they would not normally tell a stranger. Any way she said that she had a son that died in his sleep when he was about 18. Right at her house and she still seemed quite sad about it. I asked her how it happened and she said they never figured it out- The autopsy they did did not show anything. I think it was her only child. I will never forget it. I also had a customer who told me how his son blew his head off with a gun in the upstairs bedroom.

Just because they couldn't see a reason doesn't mean there wasn't one.
In reality, it's not like they do the autopsies like they do on the CSI shows.

I'm sorry for your loss but I wonder how your aunt is? I am a bereaved parent as well. It's a VERY rough path to walk.

sure she had a hidden health problem in the brain or nerve ((medulla oblongata))system that stopped her breath suddnly, maybe under a hard effect like a bad dream or even less oxygen in the room, or even if she entered in her deep sleep under the cover or put her face on the pillow which reduced oxygen slowlly then she entered her trance which stoped her breath...
so sorry!
U may give us more details by mail, ( how she was when they found her), any information will help...
regards

It was either a heart attack (perhaps from being so scared from a nightmare like you said) or sleep apnea (where she just stopped breathing in her sleep).

There are a lot of things that could've happened.

Here's an article you can look at:

Soory to hear, might have been her heart or maybe the shock of a bad dream that may have made her heart stop.

there is no real way to find this apart from going through the experience.. but as long as dying goes... this si probably one of the most peaceful methods...woudl you not agree... the question is probably not how she died, but how can you remember her?

no her heart could've stopped, she was breathing in the pillow and couldnt get enough air, or maybe she had a disease and no one knew about it
