Family - December 2006

My dad is very strict and doesn't let me go to sleepovers. He doesn't "believe in them". How do I show him that sleepovers aren't stupid and how do I make him start believing in them without him getting mad at me?

He keeps calling wanting to talk to "his" son after he deived me and keeps lying about his intentions with us as a family. He's been in prison off & on for 8 years and he's out now but the whole time he was in prison he wanted "his family" back and wanted to marry me and wanted us to visit him in VA i'm in IN, but now that he has had sex with another woman and got her pregnant and she bails him out of jail again last month, he now decides he never said those things and he don't want me, But he says its' because of his situation when he calls and she's not around , but when she is he tries to make me look like I'm desperate for him. I told him I don't want him and I am filing for full custody and his visitation would be minimal I hope , since he is in VA and is still on probation. No stable home as of yet, last I knew they were in a raoch motel. He keeps on lying and trying to make me look like a fool. I think he is a bad influence on my son and not responsible.

my boyfriend and i are going to tell our families that we are going to get engaged but we have to wait until march because that is when he is 18 i am already 18 and don't want to mess it up. but the problem is that right now i can't see him because his mother is a cyco B**ch and has told us that we can't see each other for two weeks. so that means that ican't see him for christmas. things have only gotten worse as the relationship has gone on. but i love him with all my heart and he loves me the same.
what would you do in my situation without pissing her off anymore than i already have? what she thinks we did is not true but she won't listen to reason because she thinks she is always right.
what to do ? what to do!
Please help me i am at a loss i don't think there is anything i can do but she has managed to ruen my christmas and his.

Ok I have moved into a really nice exspensive house. Everything is great but one thing. My dog. She is a beautiful all white lab and chow mix she is crapping all over the place. She didn't do things like this at my other house. I don't know what to do. My new house is becoming a dog kentel. Not to mention my cat is pissing all over the place. I'm going to get rid of the cat and I want to get rid of my dog but i'm afraid she will miss me. If I knew she would be fine and happy there wouldn't be a problem. Plus she is laying all over our new furniture. Her white hair is every where. There was a dog in the house before but that doesn't matter because there was dogs before her at my old house and she never did this. And she is getting into the trash and eating all the food I leave out. I love her. But I also love my house. And having her an out side dog is not an option because my yard isn't very big and it is already full of the other dogs crap. What should I do. Mature answers only

i have asked all my family members if they know who my father is and they say no. my mom never told anyone and i am curious as to who he is, for me and for my children. my mother left him. please tell me what steps i should take now or where i can look. since my family is no help.

i love the neiborhood it is quiet and nice, the house is awesome, but in this neiborhood, neibors arent very interactive. i have no friends. im an only child and i have a dog, but teh only thing she does is sleep!!!!!!!!!! what do i do????????? i live in potomac md, on travilla road----------any girls around 13? i need some1 close to my age to hang with.

i just got married to my boyfriend of 4 years about 2 weeks ago. we already have one little girl together that we love and cherish with all our hearts and her 3rd birthday is today. we have been talking a lot about having another baby cause we really want one and we think our little girl would love a little brother or sister. i don't really care what other people think about me having another baby especially cause i am married to him now, but i still worry about my parents reaction. i am going to have another baby no matter what, but i want to know how do i tell my parents when i know they will have their two cents to put in and i may not like what they have to say. i put up with a lot of problems between my parents, my husband (boyfriend with the first one) and myself when i had my first daughter. a lot of that was things i don't really want to go through again. if anyone has any serious suggestions please let me know because i am just so confused.

i already faced the fact my family wont be having gifts this year. it was a rough year for us and i tried toys for tots n salvation army but i was too late in signing up i didnt know my hubby would be laid off! but anyway what im asking i still want to celebrate , any ideas my kids r ages 18 girl 17 boy 16 girl 14 girl 12 boy and my baby grandson whom is 4 months old, is there anything we can do to make the holidays alittle brighter with no gifts! thank u and serious answers only!! merry christmas n god bless

My grandad recently died, and so i'm helping to clear out alot of his things from my grans house. This morning though, my dad said he found my grans old diary that she wrote when I was little, and he said she wrote in many enteries 'Tom's (me) a lovely quiet lad, but I just wish he'd say Hi Gran, how are you, and hug me when he visits me'. This wasn't without her consent b.t.w, she let my dad see the diary. I can't help but feel like i've wasted so many years, and its really upset me, I just wana cry. Do you think its right I feel this way, and should I start to make more of an effort when around? Its just strange because I love her, and I always talk to her, so I just feel like I've let her down all these years, but I can't help it if i'm shy or quiet.

I just need to let off steam.
I have seven siblings who never help my father and seldom give any money. It is not that they earn little, in fact quite a few earned more than 6 thousands. At home staying is one of other sibling who never contribute any money. My father at the age of 76 still wash my brother clothes. I had to give money 500 dollar every month, pay the bills, do the housework and pay the 2 holiday trips to China for my father and other holiday this year. I hate being emotional blackmail by father who express wishes to visit China. He knows none of my other sibling would fulfill his needs. At time I feel like ending my life. Some of brothers express willness to contribute but mostly are empty words.

some people are born to have a better package than others. one can't help but go green-eye over this person. especially when you yourself are just simple-looking girl and suddenly a cousin who wears flashy clothes, overly-done make ups and sashays when she walks joined you for a holiday in the hometown. your family members seems to be more interested in her, showering her with questions on how she is while you...just sit in the corner and wondering if you really are visible. yeah she always get all the priorities and you only get nothing. don't you feel discriminated? in order to get a bit of their attention and love what will you do?extreme make-overs? plastic surgeries perhaps? join a reality show?

I have had countless bfs, but there are 3 that i consider them well mannered enough to bring home and introduce to my family.

They are usually nice to him in the first place, then as days gone by, they start taking advantage of him, like asking him to give them free rides when it's totally inconvinent.

And the way they asked him is as though informing him, not asking for a favour,like he has to do it.

They call him names and instead of feeling ashame in front of him, they requested free rides.

I really love my current bf and he did comment that he dislike their behaviour, during the days my bf stayed with my at my mom's house, he paid rent, and my mom treated him like GOD...

now we've both moved out, my mom...or rather my family hates him, thking that he steal me away from them.

I love my family but i love my bf too. wot shld i do?
