... it is about you they want?

We all use people, regardless of whether we realize it or not.

When we're in any type of relationship, we are attracted a certain 'thing' in that person. Perhaps it's the person we want to be or the thing we want to have or just something that we totally love.

And we end up disregarding everything else about that person and completely focus on that one 'thing'.

Rarely do people truly appreciate the whole person...

If you don't need something then it certainly isn't worth giving or trading to someone in order to get what they have that you want.
If the other person (what you want) doesn't want it either, then you are trading nothing for nothing.

Perhaps for some, that nothing has value. I suppose that is where we start swapping. As long as it mutually benefits both sides, then I see nothing wrong with it. When it is one sided only, one party is or feels cheated.

Not sure if that made any sense. lol

You're not talking in circles.... I understand.

It's about sacrifice. It's about compromise. It's about discriminating between "important and non-important" and "critical and non-critical." It's about negotiation. It's about changing for the better. It's about cleansing. It's a realization... an epiphany... a discovery. It's clearing the way of all obstacles that could possibly ruin what potentially could be the best thing that ever happened to you ever.

Or...... It could be trading the box for what's behind curtain #3 Monty. *wink*

There is give and take in all relationships. To be successful you have to be willing to compromise.
