Im thinking the only reason why your family and friends are brought into this is because you have a partner who likes ot humiliate you out in public, and in front of people you know.
While you might get off on this, it isn't too considerate to the feelings of your family and you might do better to keep the antics to the bedroom, and demand a bit of respect out in public.

There is no reason why your family has to accept you or not. What you do behind closed doors is your business. There is no reason they should have any involvement or knowledge of what you're doing in bed.

Good luck with that...there is no way u can get people to accept bondage, unless they are into it to...u can teach tolerance and that is about it...
