my friends daughter was yelling at her father saying "your face is ugly" " i hate yOU" "shut up" what does this mean? i'm trying to help her, whats wrong with the girl?

Who's more right,
The daughter said pull your pants down it's up to your neck you look awful i hate you
and the dad said "you're not a fasionista, you look bad so much of the time" isn't he being achild himself?

You did not mention the friend's daughter's age. Guessing that she is a teenager. You might not want to get too involved which means that you are taking sides. Does not sound like either are acting very adult. Neither is really listening to the other nor respecting the other. Does it? Though your friend is a minister he is not being objective. And the daughter is being a bit rebellious.

How to resolve? Those two need to talk and listen. Otherwise this will continue. Remember Footloose with Lori Singer and John Lithgow. Similar situation. Each has to realize and appreciate the others position in life. And it may take couneling from a neutral third party.

Obviously there ia a lack of discipline in this family and the child is learning from her father. With no discipline and no parenting skills, this IS EXACTLY what you get in a child.

From what I have seen and heard, this is becoming normal practice in kids today.
