I am so mad at myself right now. Earlier today, I asked a question about hating my brother, blah-blah-blah-blah. You could say I was ticked off.

Well, this evening, like we always do, we went to my gram's house for supper. My brother was locked in his room again (as usual when my mom gets there) and I knocked on the door wondering what was going on. He let me in and we talked.

He said he wanted to know why I hated him, and if mom truley thought that if he hadn't been adopted he would have SPARED US THE PAIN OF LOOSING MY FATHER. I don't know why, but my mom threw herself into it, and it became a fight - and now my brother's not going to talk to my mom ever again (and he is 17).

I feel like such a buthead now. What should I do?

Let me explain the situation...My father is an abusive (mentally and physically) drunk. Plain and simple. The man hasn't had a job in over 10 years that he stuck with, so my Mom, younger sister and I have been living with him while his Mother supported us.

I became fed up with it, and nearly joined the Navy until my relatives conviced me to move in with them. My father has ruined my grandmother's credit history, and he is now in a Motel along with my sister (14) and Mother. My sister told me that he's abusing painkillers again. He has a history of this, and goes to the doctor an average of 5 times a week for pills (Loriset, I believe). I want to get my sister out of there ASAP. Is there an agency that handles cases like this?

Would I have to testify in court? Also, would he be in trouble for violating a restraining order that expired 2 months ago? He had one placed on my mother, but allowed her to move back in with him the week after it was issued.

I haven't talked to my mother for about a year and a half. We had a falling out because she betrayed me and was trying to turn my husband and I against each other and she was trying to do the same w/my siblings. I fell like my mother is suppose to help us stay together and keep our family strong.
Well this week she was admitted into the hospital because she was having problems breathing and my oldest sister called to tell me, my oldest sister is 2 out of 5 of us that still talks to her. It turns out that she may of had a heart attack.
Anyways I don't really feel like talking to her, but what if...
She hasn't tried to call or see me..who goes that long w/o talking to her children??
What should I do?

My mother-in-law is an alcoholic but refuses to admit it. I know my father-in-law and sister-in-law will be there to help out and keep an eye out but I'm still very uncomfortable with the idea. She has never stepped foot in my house sober...which is why they don't come over anymore and she's rarely sober whenever we come to see them. I've seen her drunk around my daughter and I'm quick to take her away cause some of the things she has done scare me. She insists she's not drunk when she is, and she does it when we we're there, so why would it be different if we weren't there?? She swears to us she won't drink while she's babysitting but I just don't think I can trust her. She'll say things one day and then the next it's completely different. She's mad and hurt that we haven't let her yet and I am starting to feel bad about it. Am I right for being worried and not wanting her to babysit or is it something I need to learn to get over? This is our first child/her first grandchild.

ok so my sister in third grade sees me online all the time. She plays with my avatar, fools around with websites and stuff. THing is she wants an account here. Normally i'd tell her to bug off but my parents have a new rule: I cannot say "no" unless it is absolotely neccesary to my little sis. If i tell her "no" now she'll tell my parents and they'll say yes becuz they have no idea what this website is. If I say yes then she might get into the pregnancy section and learn about sex and all that and if she started talking about THAT i'd be in huge trouble. How i can i tell her no while convincing her to not tell my parents? Take in mind she's only eight.

my mom gets pissed from everything! rite now, she called "alex" then half a second later she screams "ALEX!" so i went to her and she says " why didn't you answerme the first time?!" i said " you yelled my name twice at the same time" she says "SHUT UP! U DON'T SAY WHAT I DID AND DIDN'T DO! NOW PUT THIS IN THE FREEZER!" so i went to put the freezer pack in the freezer and I accidently dropped it on the sink full of dirty water. i saw her behind me and said " look wut u did! can u do anything right? no wonder you don't have any friends!" i don't want to tell the rest, so what should i do? i try to ignore her, but i can't.

My nineteen year old sister wrecked a car today and is in a lot of trouble for not having insurance. Someone told her that if she gets insurance on another car and brings it to court with her when she goes that the judge may not revoke her license, but will only give her a fine. She can't afford to buy a car. I'm getting a car in January, and my husband has a car of his own. My mom is very ill and upset about my sister being in so much trouble, and my OTHER sister mentioned to me that maybe I could sign my van over to my sister so she can get it insured and share my husband's car with him until January. I don't want to do this. I feel like my sister needs to learn from her mistakes just like I had to do and if I put my neck out to help her, I'll wind up with a broken neck and a still immature sister? Am I wrong for thinking this? Would I be a better sister and daughter to give up my van??

Okay so lately whenever my mom comes home from work she is really angry and says extremely nasty things to my dad and I. I always just kind of left it alone buts its gotten a lot worst. I wanted her to start to be nice so for the last week I have completoly ignored/not answered her. And TRUST ME sitting down or whatever and talking things out wont help, tried it before.

If your daughter/son was ignoring you would it help you open up your eyes?

I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this. Ever since I was a little girl my relationship with my dad has been awful. When I was a little girl age (3-7) I would try so hard to get my father's attention but he would always act uninterested or busy. From age 10-15 I received treatment for leukemia and my father was rarely involved with my situation, my mother took care of me while he went to work. Now that I'm cured (age 17) my father has been trying to build a better relationship with me but I can't (and pretty much don't want to) get closer to him. I can't help but feel constant resentment over him and we often get into fights. I usually say something rude or he gets mad at something of very small detail. My mother always tells me that my father just wants to become closer to me and that I should at least be thankful for the all hard work he does to bring income into the family. But I can't help it, I hate him! I'd really like some opinions on anything I've said, thank you.

would you move to another state so your daughter could live closer to her dad. i am thinking about it but not sure what to do he want to see her and to be a dad to her.
~~~~~~~i am hoping that we hit it off like we did back then~~~~~~
THE INFO :
ok she is almost 8,
has not seen him in 7 yrs,
and he has not paid child support *($11,000 behind),
we live in Texas and he lives in Oregon,
he just came back into her life so this is still a long time away, also thinking about he moving here, cost less to live and she is doing well in school.
My brother who is 26 has offered to let me live there with him. I can finish high school up there. i'm just not sure if I can just up and leave. Can my brother apply for guardianship?
