it is hard to know if you are a good parent. With todays standards and underlying rules how do you know if you are raising your kids right? Nobody wants to be a failure, but can you actually be a failure?

I have a problem, I want more kids, but not in my current relationship. I figure, between divorce and then finding the right man, my time may be running out. At what age will I be too old to have a baby?

My mother had always been overprotective, but after my brother's death she has crossed the line. She tries to find out everything about me, even by getting other people to spy on me. She also pays too much attention to what people might say about me. Whenever I tell her she has no right to do this, she will get angry and treat me as a stranger. I don't want to fall out with her, but this can't go on. I forgot to mention we live in the same house because I don't have a steady job yet. Please only serious answers...

Yes, I asked a question earlier and about 70% of the people told me that I should talk to a doctor for pills. YEAH RIGHT!! I don't need pills, I need advice and time. I need a hobby and things to do. But it seems everything I do reminds me of my dad. My dad and I had the most wonderful relationship anyone could have I think. Then 5 years ago he got diagnosed with brain cancer. You know when you're little and you think your daddy is the strongest man in the world? Well that sort of stuck with me. I think he was. One time when I was little, I got scared and went into my parents' room and slept in the middle. In the morning I woke up on top of my dad's stomach listening to his heart beat. When he went to the hospital for the last time, I listened to his heart beat. An instant flashback. A few days later he passed. When he was gone, I went in his room and layed my head on his chest and cried when I heard no beat. I'm SO hearbroken!!!

If we wanted your opinion, we'd beat it out of you. HaHa but why? Nobody's asking you.

He goes from person to person annoying the hell out of them and it is obviously my week for him to annoy me. He keeps sitting next to me staring at what I do on the PC, reading my IMs out loud. Every time I tell him to go away he either hits me or says "shut up" and stays where he is. Then he starts climbing on me. My laptop has to stay in the living room. My mom is ignoring him. What do I do??? He keeps telling me to make him food, open drinks for him, do this, do that, and if I don't, he yells until my mom DOES notice, and she looks down on me for not doing those things for him. I'm really losing patience! (I am 13 he is 7)

Please look at my questions and tell me why would I get many answers on the question about your mother and zero on the question about your father? Do fathers play no role in our lives anymore? Or what could be the reason? This is just very interesting to me and perhaps you have the answer for me. Thank you!

My sister and me really aren't bad kids. My sister is two years younger than me, 15 and is way more...lets say adventurous than me. We used to go to school in a bad area, but recently moved to a place were there are a lot of stuck up kids and looks are important. I found out my sister has been stealing expenisve clothing. I don't understand why she needs to because she is really pretty and outgoing (shes a cheerleader). At first I didn't care until one day at the mall she asked me to hold onto a shirt while she walked into a store and ran out telling me to run because someone caught her stealing. I want her to stop before its too late and something bad happens. I have talked to her about it, but she won't stop. It's like she's addicted to it.

My Dad goes overseas next Tueday through the first half of Nov (he works for an oil company). He said it's too long for me to go with him and I would be not be happy because of the country he is going to teenage girls arent treated well. He told me to pick a friend to stay with so I chose my friend Tamara's and they said OK

I don't have a Mom anymore so Dad is all I have and all of our relatives live too far away or cant take care of me. We live in Texas now and while her family is very nice they very Christian and strict. Her Mom does not like that I backtalk and dress revealingly or whatever and deserve to "get it". My Dad does not believe in spanking but he gave her Mom, not Dad, permission to as last resort because she said that is their rule at home - spankings!

I'm worried. Dad told me to just deal with it and if I behave I have nothing to worry about and if I don't I will get grounded for a long time when he gets home and that's what I should worry about. What should I do?

I had the most wonderful relationship with him. I was his wood tic...I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!! He died of brain cancer and lived for 5 years since last May. I really miss him. I have dreams about him almost every night, and I don't go a night without crying. Am I depressed? Is this normal? I have dreams of him telling me that he's okay and he loves me! That's so great but I'm still struggling. Any advice would help if any of you have had a similar situation. Thanks.
