He goes from person to person annoying the hell out of them and it is obviously my week for him to annoy me. He keeps sitting next to me staring at what I do on the PC, reading my IMs out loud. Every time I tell him to go away he either hits me or says "shut up" and stays where he is. Then he starts climbing on me. My laptop has to stay in the living room. My mom is ignoring him. What do I do??? He keeps telling me to make him food, open drinks for him, do this, do that, and if I don't, he yells until my mom DOES notice, and she looks down on me for not doing those things for him. I'm really losing patience! (I am 13 he is 7)

Hey Big Sis it sounds like your brother is asking for a little time from his big sis. Spend some time with him.

I'm almost 13 and I have a 3 year-old-bro. You have to: A. Be nice to him, and if he's not getting any nicer at all, then you're SOL, B. Teach him how to make food (not recommend for younger brothers) and in the mean time just suck it up and make it for him, and C. Bribe the little bastard with cookies. They seem to work for me ^_^. DO NOT kick his ***. I know you want to, but you'll get in deep trouble ( take out your aggression on something else, like a stress ball or a punching bag, either of which can be bought at your local store or mall.) That's all I can think of for now, so if you want to talk more just email me. I'm pretty sure you can do that through my answers profile (click my pic).

I think anyone with younger brothers or sisters know what you mean (I know I do) they can really be a pain in the ***, but that`s why they do it, to have fun, they`ve got nothing better to do and I`m sure you won`t play with him so that`s his way of enjoying himself. He is 7 years old and you`re 6 years older than him so you know have some patience, you were once like that :) and just you know don`t mind him once he sees he doesn`t bother you he`ll get bored,

The little guy is an attention hog!
Try to find something for him to do that will keep him busy... or better yet. offer him a reward if he will keep himself busy for a set amount of time... "till the big hand is on the 6". Then after he does it, play with him for about 10 minutes or get him a drink.

You're doing great. He's acting like a perfectly healthy 7 year old brother and you're acting like a perfectly healthy 13 year old big sister.
And think, you only have to tolerate him another 5 years till you leave for college ;-) You're more than half there. (I'll take a lot of humor, and I'm sure you'll lose your patience sometimes, but that's normal).

You need to sit down with your mom, when your little brother is not around, adn explain to her about your brother. Explain to her how he is bothering you, etc. Try to stay calm when he is bothering you, don't yell at him because then he will want to bother you even more. And maybe he wants a little attention from you. Maybe try to spend some time with him. (not saying like 5 hours, but maybe like 30 minutes or something. get some one on one time with him.)

I see my daughter (Age 12 and her brother is 8) in your writing. Her little brother does the same thing and I respond the same way your mother does but not anymore. You have made me see the error of my ways. He is my child not my daughters and he is my responsibility. Don't take it out on your little brother...he obviously loves you!

I agree, he appears like a blob. whilst he sits on your lap in simple terms grab his ear and twist slightly. >:P I knowledgeable my 2 youthful brothers from the time they have been toddlers, so i've got not got that burping/farting in my face difficulty. each and every time they farted or burped around me i might hit them (gently) and tell them to circulate away my presence whilst they did that.
