I am 26 years old and my adoptive parents are psychotic to say the least. I am not interested in forming a family of my own with my adoptive parents as my childrens' grandparents. I am considering locating my biological parents (or at least one of the two) and seeing if I can get invited back into my real family. Well, that is the short story, but it is much longer and depressing. Hmmm...well, if anyone knows of any professional services that could assist me please let me know.

wants to spend all his time at my house. He whines, tries to invite himself to eat meals with me, calls all the time and bad mouthed my mother. I snapped and went off on him and he didn't say one word to me. Now he's starting to call me again. I do not want to see or talk to him. What would you do in this situation?

Ok I lived in Michigan my hole life and after my husband died I moved to Florida. Down there I met my girlfriend and we decided to move back to my home towm in Michigan. We have not even been here for 6 month's and she wants to move back to Florida. Her mom and sister live in Florida but she don't ever talk to them but once a year. I have a lot of family up here and don't know what to do. Should I stand my ground and stay in Michigan where I can be happy and she can be misserable or move back to Florida to make her happy and I can be misserable?

Ok, my older brother is a 37 year old alcoholic. His life has never been on track. Always between jobs, apartments, cars, money. He is currently living with his wife (and mother of his children). She gave up rights to her kids and has no custody. He has limited visitation and the kids currently reside with the maternal aunt and uncle. My family continually bends over backwards giving him chances. They give him money, cars, etc.... I have grown very sick of getting guilt trips if I do not want to pick his butt up to go to a family event or other such thing. Am I wrong for refusing? Isn't there a limit on this kind generosity? I am single mom and do not have the money and patience for this. By the way, this has been going on since he was 18.

It was hard to get over what i did in the past as a kid. I am ALMOST over it i think. I was just wondering what all of you have done in the past as a kid. What i did was when they were sleeping. I got on top of 1 which was younger and I might of humped ( i don't know how old but i was under 10) and then when i was still younger, i put my chest in my little cousin's face who was alot younger. I realize it's normal but i still feel bad so will you guys tell me what you did as a kid like this like doing sexual things while someone didn't know or was sleeping and they were younger or if someone you know did it. I know i posted this in the wrong spot. Sorry! Thanks. You guys helped last time. I'm almost over it. YAY. I am sick of rude people on here though. I was a child! stop saying i was a whore or pedofile. A CHILD you idiots to the ones who said that. So this question is for the MATURE people! Thanks.

My family is hard to get along with. I left my family after high school due to coming home with my things in the snow because my mother disputing dad. My family always threated to kick me out because I was the my mother twin they said. My mother never married and had two of us from the same father. My father never took care of us so I never cared for him. My mom always blamed me for him not staying around long because I told him I never will like him( I still don't) Therefore my mom never liked me. I moved got a job and lived a hard life(But worked my way up) I got married, divorced after 3 years and moved on with my life. I want my family in my new life now that I matured. I have a good career, own car, house and about to remarry. They don't agree with my relationship because THEY want me to be by myself. I want to be happy(which I am) but I want a nice wedding with not just his family for support. I want to show him were I came from, and what good they are(sometimes) Whatcha think?

I am 20 yrs old, I now live with my Dad. My mother raised me by herself for 18 years. Now am living with him, he wants to treat me as a child trying to make up for his lost time. I keep telling him that that is not my fault and that I should not be punished for it. He takes the smallest issue and makes it into a big problem. All my life I've been trying to please people, and I am tired of it. I want to go away to college and he does not want me to leave(and I am tired of walking on eggshells around this man) I want to do something for me. I am a short tempered person, I really am trying to keep my calm and respect him in his house, but he keeps pushing my buttons. It has gotten to a point where I am very depressed sometimes I go an entire day without eating. What should I do and how do I approach this matter?

The sister in law is concerned about assets going into probate after my Mom dies. She assumes my Mom is doing nothing. I think there are other concerns that she is not telling me. I understand her concern, but feel this is an issue between me, my siblings and my Mom. I don't know for sure what my Mom is planning, but from some things that she has said, I think she is doing something. At this point my I am not pressing the issue and I am giving my Mom the chance to make the first move. If she doesn't, I or one of my siblings will bring it up when we feel the time is right. It is not my business to tell someone else my Mom's business.

My mother in law (who thankfully lives in another satate) is constantly disrespecting me by refusing to talk to me when I answer the phone and by recently verbally attacking me during a family tragedy that had nothing to do with her. I was trying to let my hubby get some sleep after he had just found out that his father was killed (his parents had not seen each other in over 25 years BTW) and she called and yelled at me to wake him up even though he'd been awake for 24 hours, was running on empty, and it took him 2 hours to actually fall asleep. He's only been sleeping for 2 hours when she told me she was losing patience with ME and I must wake him up to deal with things!
Well, my husband has yet to say anything to her about her treatment of me. I've waited for over a month to let him relax and deal with other more pressing things, but he talks to her nearly everyday and never says one word about her treatment of me. Do I have a right to feel angry? Should he defend me?
