'Guess how Big Mom Is' is always a hit. Hand a roll of yarn around and everything clips off how much string they think they need to go around mom's belly. The one that is closest to the exact length wins. It is fun for the mommy because she can keep the string in her baby book and show the little one later on, even compare when her daughter is pregnant.
'What Will Baby Be' is always a good laugh too. You will need game cards that list the final story.
"Your baby will be a __1__. S/he will have __2__ eyes and __3__ hair. S/he will grow up to be a __4__. Talents will include __5__ and __6__. Hobbies will include __7__. Greatest achievement will be __8__. Goal in life will be __9__."
You can modify the above however you want to include other items or make it shorter or add more than one hobby, etc. For each item included you will need a paper bag and several small slips of paper. Using the above as an example, label each paper bag 1 thru 9. Then write out slips for each (put corresponding number on back of slips).
* 1 would be slips with either Boy or Girl, some people add in Twins or Triples for laughs.
* 2 would be Blue, Green, Brown, Hazel.
* 3 would be hair types and colors (you can do this as two seperate slips in two seperate bags if desired) so like Curly Brown, Straight Blonde, Wavy Red, Curly Red, etc.
* 4 is types of jobs (president, psychiatrist, bum...)
* 5 & 6 are possible talents (juggling, singing, ...)
* 7 is possible hobbies (collecting spoons, skiiing, ...)
* 8 is possible achievements in life
* 9 is life goal/ dream
The trick is to put some real things and some funny things (like my friend drew Office Peon for a career). Then each person draws one slip from each bag and writes the answer on that line on their card. Go around the room and everyone reads their result. Mom picks the winner and this is another cute keepsake for the baby book.
You can also get some cute themed stationary and give a piece to each person and ask that they write a message to baby for baby to read when she is 16. This can be best wishes, advice, memories of mom, ideas on how they expect the world to be in 16 years, etc. Put these in baby's book to read when she is 16. An advice to mom sheet is good too, or coupon sign-up (have coupons available that say 'Good for one night of babysitting' and other things a new mom needs then guests take the ones they want and write their name on the coupon and give it to mom to redeem when needed).
A cute game at our most recent shower...ask mom several questions then the guests get game cards with the questions and multiple choice answers. Have mom read off with her correct answers. Most right wins. This was pretty interesting. I didn't realize how much I did not know about the mom to be.
We always enjoy the games at baby showers, but we do good prizes too. Get some cute bags or baskets and think up some themes, don't have to be expensive (usually about $5-8 per). We've used a gambling theme (couple of scratch tickets & a poker handheld or PC game), pamper me theme (several of the small lotions & that type of stuff), coffee lovers theme (small packs of various coffee & tea with a mug), movie lovers theme (gift cert for a movie at Blockbuster and pack of popcorn).

we always play a word scramble game. Come up with 10 or 15 words associated with babies then mix up the letters. EG nursery, crib, blanket, bottle, etc. The person with the most right answers in 5 or 7 minutes wins. The clothes pin game is always fun too. Give each person a clothes pin to clip to there clothes when they first arrive. For the rest of the party whenever someone crosses their legs and gets caught they loose their pin. (the person the catches them gets the pin) Whoever has the most pins at the end wins the prize.

There are all sorts of cool games....you can do the "memory" game with baby items and give away a small prize for the person with the most items listed...give out diaper pins when guest arrive and allow the guest to take away a person's pin if they say a specific word, whoever had the most pens wins a small prize...you can do the "how much toilet paper?" have each person, using a roll of toilet paper guess how many squares it will take to go around the mommy's belly whoever is the closest wins....good luck!

I'm having a girl too, my baby shower is coming up. A game I thought was cute was you get little babies and freezed them in ice cubes. Each guest or group gets one and whomever's melts first yells "my water broke". Another one I came across is to give each player some playdough then ask them to make babies. They you judge to see who made the cutest baby. In my family we do the statistics game. You give them a list of questions and have the mom to be leave the room. They have answer the questions like, what she's wearing, what her favorite color is, how many children she wants to have, her eye color, what she plans on naming the baby, how much weight she's gained, her due date, and so on. Whoever gets the most questions right wins. Another game is to have the guests guess how big around she is. Go to each guest and have them cut a length on string for how big around they think she is. Then measure the mom with string and cut it to the appropriate length. Then compare each guest's string with the true width. Whoever is the closest wins. Hope this helps.

A friend did this one at hers. It was the first time I've ever seen it. It's a little gross, but it's definitely interesting.
She got 4-5 baby diapers, numbered them and melted different kinds of chocolate bars in them.(crunch bar, reese cup, hershey bar, goody bar) you can use any kind that melts easily. They then passed the diapers around and had people write down what they thought the candy bar was in each diaper. Like I said it was a little gross, but it was fun.
They also did the memory test. But it was a little different. They had her mother go around with the tray so every one could see the different baby items on the tray. Then when everyone had a chance to see it, her mother quietly slipped out of the room, and they had to describe,not what was on the tray,but what her mother was wearing. That was a fun little twist.
They also gave out those baby rings you attach toys for baby gyms to everybody that came in. If you said the word "baby" and someone heard you, you had to give up your ring to them. The person with the most rings at the end won.

We just had one for my daughter, and I thought one of the games was really neat: It was a memory game. Her cousin made a "cake" out of diapers (rolled in a tube and rubberband)- there were like fifteen on the bottom layer, ten on the middle, 5 on the top. Then she decorated it with baby stuff - bottles, rattles, pacifiers; nail clippers, etc. She had the mother to be carry the "cake" around so that everybody could look at it. THen, she went out of the room and her cousin changed the Memory! You had to answer like 10 questions about what the mom-to be was wearing - NOT about the "cake". It was fun. Good Luck! â¥
