I would say it is more difficult to hate someone. Mostly because I tend to find just a little something to like in everyone. Most of the time hate is just fear.

Hate is irrelevant. There are only two true emotions, they are love and fear. If you can't love something, then you MUST fear it. If you feel that you "hate" something, you are most likely fearful, on a conscious or subconscious level, of whatever the object of your hatred is directed toward.

Hate is a very strong emotion, and causes more pain. I think we try to avoid hating anyone because it is so painful. To love is easy, I love someone with my heart and soul, and he makes my life easier and I feel great. If you a true christian, you won't hate anyone. Just pray for them....
