my sister was killed in a car accident last nov. and left behind her 12 year old daughter the family pulled together and tried to do what we thought would be best for her and also what my sister would have wanted. her father was never in her life and her stepfather of 2 years said he could not raise her.on Nov 9 2005 my niece lost everything, her dad,her school, her friends, her dog, her bedroom, her home, and her mommy! my younger sister is a 5th grade teacher, and so as a family we thought this maybe the best home for her, even though her own children are grown and do not live at home anymore. my sister and her husband knew it wouldnt be easy but that they would try their best. now almost a year later they dont think their best is working. and have no idea where to go from here. looking for much needed help in tucson! i know this will take time, and for my neice it will take a lifetime.

Earlier i posted a question about parents getting divorced, i hope they do. I feel like killing myself because of my dad. He is always going in my room when i am in school and when i ask him why, he makes up really really bad excuses, today after coming home, i asked and he like always wanted to hit me with the belt just for asking and he said, " what, can't i go into your room" he's always doing this to me, he's always following me he wont let me ever go out with friends , he's always making me go with him he goes in my room and talks to me like i am an animal. He is very violant and i m tired of him going in my room everyday and getting away with it. Everytime i suggest an idea or something or dont talk back, he gets violant and says " you dont ****** tell me what to do" he makes me get on my knees and say what ever he wants to hear. He lets my little sister in my room and she makes a huge mess , then he makes ME clean it up and curses at me. i cant stand it someone please please

I am a Stay-At-Home Dad with 3 kids (1 set of twins) and I think I have it pretty easy but whenever I get into parenting chatrooms (or here) it seems like all the SAHMs do is complain about how hard it is and how no one respects them. I think this is the easiest job I ever had and since I am grateful to be able to do it I am more understanding of how hard my wife works. Why am I driven so mad by these women who think this is difficult?

As a mother I have noticed I take pics of hubby and son and also of my daughter. I would say it has been about a year since a family member has taken a picture of me. I have some great photos of my husband and his son though.

I have taken my daughter to the hospital first they told me she was allergict to dust then she had an upper viral infection, then it was cuz of my cat, the list goes on they dont know **** here i know there is something wrong its my daughter for god sakes. i cant travel cuz i dont have transportation. I live in Nevada what do you people expect.

I am looking for free very good and clear pictures of chroes clip art for my toddlers. Also any suggestions of good chores for toddlers would be of great assistance. too young to read but old enough to work around the house. Examples: Make bed, feed pets, brush teeth, get dressed, clean table off etccc....

Now, what I meant to ask, was do you think that his clothes could be sending the wrong message to his teachers? We live in Ridgeland, South Carolina, an all-black community (almost all black, anyway.) He says half the school dresses with their pants falling down and that I shouldn't be worried, but I am.
Now, I was wondering, if it is inapropriate, what should we comprimise on?

I wanted to look at a house and the person e-mailed me and said "the house used oil for heat are you sure you want to look at it?" Does any of you use oil for heat? What does this mean, do I have to go buy oil, is this method of heating more expensive. I feel stupid but just thought you may be able to answer. Thanks

My cousin and I have not been hanging out lately since she moved in with her boyfriend. For the past month we've been hangin out. I talked to her boyfriend to make him feel that he fit in the family. Well, my parents left to Mexico about three weeks ago, and since then my cousin's boyfriend started to call me, and visit me to my house. I didn't think that there was nothing wrong with that because we were just friends. Until one day my cousin called him, and he lied to my cousin where he was it was right then that I realized that it was not right. He also confessed to me that he has been having naughty dreams with me while he was sleeping next to my cousin! I seeked help immediately, I told her mom in confidence, and she told me that I should just stop talking to him...So I was going to tell him to stop calling me, and visiting me. When he called yesterday I was going to tell him, but he told me that her mom told her everything, so she left him and now I'm getting blamed for it.

I have a relative who made a mistake and was drinking and driving and ended up in jail over this. He has two options at this point. One will be 18 months probation and the other is 10-30 days in a county jail. He is a wonderful guy just made a mistake. Can anybody shed any light on what goes on in a county jail? Is it really that bad? If he does the time..after that he has to do nothing else with the courts. If he opts probation he has monthly payments to the courts, community service, meeting with a probation officer, paying probation fines...The county jail is Denton County Jail in Texas.
