No way in the entire solar system would I beat my kids. They can have a time out or a grounding. Even if they did the worst thing possible. I once heard that my old neighbor beat her kids because they where sick! All five of my kids have the stomach flu right now and i just comfort them. Never beat a kid. Studies have shown that kids that have been beat grow up to be phsycopaths and drug addicts.

I don't think you should beat your kids for playing a prank because you have to remember that you too were once a kid and didn't you think it was funny when you got someone for a prank? Now if it is harmful to someone or themselves then yes I believe in punishment but not beating... Put yourself in their shoes!

My son loves to pull pranks, and I have no problem with it if it is within reason. I have a sense of humor. Of course I would never hit him. I love him too much! Pranks can be fun. I encourage him to be funny, I believe when he grows up he will be a comedian. He loves to try to be funny, and make People laugh. It just seems to be what he loves.

Of course not if it' s a harmless prank. But if could hurt them or me then yes. I will hit them not beat them where I can catch a case or to hurt them. Just a hit to let them know that what they did was wrong.
And to all of you who said the do not beat your kid they will be the ones who turn out like the Columbine shooters, or the Amish school shooter!!!

No, I really don't believe in laying your hands on a child. I mean if you hit them ya it hurts for the moment. A day later and they are over it and on to the next prank. I would take something away, some of their privliages or something.

My kids are always pulling pranks. it is almost like a compition in our house who can pull the best prank. April fools day is one of our favorite days here.
so I guess my answer would be no. Although I would punish them if they pulled one that was outa line or on somebody outseide the family.

Firstly, why would i want to beat my kids? For any reason? Depending on the prank, they would suffer a wide range of consequences, none of them resulting in a beating.

There's a big difference between beating and spanking. I was spanked as a child, It did not turn me into a violent person, actually the biggest lesson I learned to respect authority, and that you are accountable for your actions.
But, capital punishment should be confined to the most seroius offences.

If by "my" kids, you mean all these rugrats around the neighborhood, then yes.
Playing outside is a prank, right?
