My parents tell me all the time that the love for their grand children is different than the love that they have for their children. You probably do love your grand children more because you are at a different place in your life than you were when you had children. You are probably more patient and not so jumping and if they don't live with you then you can spoil them all you want and then send them home.

There are different kinds of love. You love your children differently than your husband. Grandchildren are a joy. I have more time and money now. It's not up to me to worry about sending them to college or teaching them how to drive. I don't have all the mental baggage that I had with my own children. Our job was to push our little birds out of the nest and watch them fly. Now, I just want to sit in the floor and play and laugh with the grandchildren and let someone else worry about the other stuff.

Not more, just different. I was a young mother and never knew what I was doing. I am now a Grandmother of seven and I get to have all the fun I had with my sons but none of the fear. I love spending time with my grandbabies and taking some of that pressure off my children. My folks didn't give me too many breaks from the kids and I am more available for my sons so they can go do something with their wives without the kids.

grandchildren are awesome, but I don't think I can measure love that way. I love them all

i love both children and grand, but the grand is so much fun. with my kids i was working and didn't really have time for one on one. ever heard the saying,if i had known grandkids were this much fun i'd had them first.
