Family - October 2006

Its just a question...and no I am not off my meds...lol.
I just wanted to ask people over 30....do they think life is quite hard, or quite easy....say than 30-40-yrs ago?
Reason I picked people to answer over 30....Just a better age group for such a question,anything under...can be seen as a
unpredictable-age-group.....because of the many changes to their life.....Thats all.

Im 16, and have been a Wiccan for 3 years now, and studying for 4. I want to tell my parents that I am Wiccan but they are Concervative Christian and I asked my mom what she would do if one of her children were of a differnt religion, she said she wouldnt let them. But saying one thing and Doing another is 2 differnt things. I wouldnt change my lifestyle or act any differnt, just stop having to be so secrect about it. How can I tell them?

Ok well I have been in a correctional facilty for about 8 months now. I just got out not too long ago and I still havent seen my sister yet. Since Ive been locked up my mom told me that my sister is disappointed in me for what I have done and dont want no part of me. She used to be my best friend and we were very tight. She's coming to visit me this weekend and Im very scared and ashamed of what she thinks of me. I dont want to loose her. I want her to see past what I did. Can someone help?

i woke up at 5:30 am took my dog out, fed her and my cat. took a shower, dressed my son drove him to school, got coffee and worked 9 hours went to target did some shopping picked up my son bought some white castles was too tired to cook anything took my dog out again got my son ready for bed and i hung out with you guys and answered some questions im ready for bed good night til tomorrow

she said she's talked to a phsyciatrist and it didn't help. I dont know what to do about this if she does this to herself then im gona go crazy and im going crazy already she's one of the only good friends that i have left and if she goes then idk i was just starting to find my way in life but if this happens idk WHAT TO DO!!!! I've spent years looking for my father, who I've never met. I'm about 98% sure that the phone number and address I have finally located are his but I cannot make myself call or write. I think I'm afraid that he may reject me again. Has anyone felt this way and how did you get past it to make the call?

My father keeps returning to narcotics. Him and my mother own a business and he's killing it with the abuse. Without the business, we can't afford the house, which won't sell in Michigan's horrible economic climate. I feel trapped between trying to make him understand the situation and finding a way to plan out how to sell the house and not go bankrupt. Help!

My sisters a drug addict..intervenous drugs, she has 3 kids but doesn't have them anymore.there dad has them, sleeps at a crack shack, steals to support her habit, is wanted by the police on warrants for not appearing in court..has already been in jail twice..I'm her younger sister by 15months..My question is because I know shes killing herself and am sickly worried about her , should I turn her in?..also because of where I live (small city) why haven't the cops picked her up yet, they know who she is..I try to stay out of her life cause she won't take advice or listen to anyone..any one have similar experiences?

My parents just recently found out i'm bi, but they wont accept it. They think i might be confused or just think that because i hang out with some gays/lesbians. They also wont believe it because i've gone out with 11 girls...and they always see me talking with girls and giving them hugs. What can i do to make them understand that i'm not confused???

I received an invistation from my mother for my grandmother's birthday party(87th birthday).My wife does not get along with my family at all especially my parents. My mother is very nasty to her and talks a lot of smack about her to the rest of my family. She puts her down and disrespects her and me in the process and it makes me feel very very angry that she would treat my wife in such a way. We have been recently married, i have a daughter, and my motehr blames my wife for all the problems i'm having with my ex. My ex is denying visitations and we're back in court because things fell apart partly because my ex can't handle that i'm with another woman and also because i moved 50 miles away to be with my wife.

My wife feels very uncomfortable with going to the party and says she will definitely not go. I feel that if i show up without her it looks like our marriage is failing etc. We are having a lot of problems because of all these family issues but i don't need people to rub it in.

She is very bright and sweet and was a straight A student but has problems focusing on assignments. Recently she finished half her test because she broke eher pencil and took forever to find another in her back pack. I need ideas on how to help her. She is 23 and a single mother. She suffers from moderate Bipolar Disorder which causes her to act very impulsively. She's smart, has a great job, is sweet-natured, and is absolutely beautiful.

She could "have any man she wants" (sorry if that sounds offensive). But for some reason she keeps going with guys who abuse her, or drink heavily, or smother her with jealousy. Our brothers and parents can't do anything about this, except possibly offer her advice she might listen to.

So does anyone have any of that much-needed advice?

she bought me stuff to keep intouch with her, and now I have not herd from her for about a week. after she bought these things for me we would constantly talk or keep in touch, now nothing I am afraid that she's left again. I'm dating my best friend. My parents know we're really close, but they don't know we're dating. We have been for almost five months, we're basically engaged [I just have to get down on one knee, but it's decided], and we're going to start a family.

She's not quite legal yet and I am. That's the problem.

I really want to tell my mom and stepdad because I REALLY want my mom to help me pick out the engagement ring.

I just don't know how.
