It depends on what type of tile it is. If it is ceramic, finger nail polish should do the trick. Put an ice cube on it first. As it melts, it will soak into and under the ceramic tile, which is porous. This will help you get it out. Wash the nail polish remover off with mild soapy water, and use a little baking soda and water as a paste. You may have to reseal your tile. It doesn't sound as if it is sealed really well, or the polish would have washed off easily. Just buy some sealant at Lowe's or Home Depot and follow the directions. It's easy.

Lol* I don't mean to be rude to any of the previous people answering, but I don't really understand why anyone would suggest a NON Acetone polish remover? Lol* Maybe because it's milder? I'm not sure...but anyhow I did sometime ago take a 200 hour nail tech class, and I was always taught to use acetone...Sally's Beauty Supply should have it. If it's a deep color you might just be out of luck, depending on how porous your tile is, and what color. Good luck! :)

Use a NON- acetone nail polish remover. It will take a lot of scrubbing but should be fine. < My orginal answer.
Rivision>as someone said you can get it at Sally's Beauty Supply.Try it on a little piece, it is pretty mild but, if that does not work or sounds like a bad idea. Maybe a really fine buffing type of sand paper. I think they have it a Walmart. That way no chemicals are used and it should take the polish away and not scratch the floors.

If It's stone tile and acetone polish remover didn't take it out, you can always sand or buff it out.
