i know a guy who has a 7 year old daughter & the girl is being raised by his mother with his mother telling the child that she is her mother & he is her brother. In the 4 years i've known this family as neighbors this little girl has been emotionally abused to the point where she is just a mess. All day long she is called bitches, whores & fat slut by the mother and she screams so loud you can hear her down the hall! I don't know all that goes on in that house but I babysat her a few times when she was 5 and all she could talk about was SEX! a FIVE YEAR OLD!I went to the "mother" and told her about it but all she could do was blame it on the father, her son. I confronted him about it in the hall and he put all the blame on his mother saying that he doesn't even have contact with the child and that the mother took her on against his wishes so it's "her" problem. Everyone in the building talks about how awful it is & the girl shows so many signs of abuse how can he sit back & do nothing?

My daughter's best friend has lied on numerous occasions to her parents. She has also used her friends in the lies, including my daughter. Her friend and her friend's boyfriend are sneaking around playing house. Both kids are lying. They are also having sex. (not a surprise, but might be to her parents) I know both the kids very well. I know the parents well. I do not want to betray my daughter, because I have heard the lies from her. However, I don't want her friend getting pregnant (no Birth control pills being used). And...she is losing all her friends due to the lies. Should I stay out of it? I have thought through the...if it were me thing...doesn't seem to help.

I'm 16. One of my good friends, is acting differently around me. I came back to school. She starts doing things differently. First day starts resting her arm on my knee. Steals my hat all the time, all of a sudden sits next to me all the time, and hugged me. Riped a hole in one of my shirts, asks for my jewerly once, draws pictures for me. but the dilema see does hug some other guys.It is probably friendly. Also, she was doing some of this before. Played with my jewerly before, stole my hat on occasion but every chance she gets now she says hi or touches me.

im just trying to figure out whether she is being deeply friendly or likes me

also do ask her and risk the friendship if she says no

and i got no idea how to start asking her about this

My parents make feel guilty for moving out.....I moved out at age 25-26 when they tried to give me a 10:30pm curfew. No, I did not follow thier curfew.I took a second job and saved up very quickly for a down payment on a house. Now, they want me to move back home. I cannot live with them. They are VERY messy, they have a dog I cannot deal with, and my dad is very sexist, and I do not want a curfew at age 28.I own my home, they want me to sell it, they will sell thier house, and they want us all to use all that money to buy a bigger house and all live together. I keep telling them things like" I really has a different schedule then you do, I am very fussy about the house being clean, you might not like that," etc but they keep asking. My boyfriend lives with me, but he will probably be moving out in few months(long story, see my other questions if u want ) They know he will probably be moving out. I want time to myself after he moves out.

When i was 11 my cousin who was 14 asked me weather i would have sex with her, now i was not just her cousin back then but also a very close friend and i said yes to her and after the first time this went on for a year then she got scaired of getting pregnant so she stopped it, now 3 years on from that day she has never spoken a word of what has happened but i want to find out weather she regrets doing it weather she thinks i have forgot about it or thinks she took advantage of my friendship so dosent speak about it weather she is a shamed, all these questions i want to no but i dont no how to just go up to her and ask her because i worry so much she might just deny what happened or get upset and now she has a boy friend who is twice her age and has a little girl.I my self after so long still have feelings for her witch i do admit is mostely lust and am getting very needy for it these last couple of months i dunno what to do it is impossible to forget and get on with my life.

My gf and I are remodeling our house. The contractor has a sometimes-helper who may be available to work on the project. This helper sports a visible swastika tattoo - possibly others. I don't feel comfortable allowing someone who is proud of their hatred add their vibe to my home. My gf says "Maybe he doesn't know what it means," and "Maybe it is a reflection of Buddhist beliefs." I'm thinking he isn't simultaneously uneducated AND sporting a swastika 'cause he's into Eastern religion. Further, there isn't a chance in my mind he's unaware of what this symbol means to most people in the west - hatred, genocide, and evil. What are your thoughts? Is my gf delusional, or am I the intolerant prick?

I had a tough time categorizing this one. The core issue is a family-disagreement on how to proceed.

I do and she likes to go on this and I don't mind because it is better than chat rooms and can be quite imformative but can't we at least try to keep it a little bit clean and decent at least untill late at night, Come on all of you I'm sure you wouldn't want young girls to see some of the sick stuff on here, but why deny them the chance of trying to answer and help others My daughter loves to help people and if she knows an answer feels good and proud.

I'm turning 16 and I'm having a party. I'm inviting a ton of people, and it's going to be outdoors. I have a huge yard and it might be a little cold. The only idea that I have is to have a huge bonfire. Any other ideas that you think my guests will like? Also, is there any kind of cool food/theme that I could have?

Did they encourage you, or did they not let you do things because they thought you would not suceed? My co-worker did not let her daughter try out for cheerleading because she did not think she would make the cheerleading team. The girl, age 12 and in 7th grade begged to to try out, but the mother said, "No you can't try out, you will never make the team" I think this is terrible and she should at least let her try..

My thing is whether this is deep friendship or she likes me

Im posting this question for me and for a girl my age I got to know here, we got similar problems. The thing is: you're mom tells you to do something unreasonable in your opinion. Many people, including other parents agrees w/ you and even try to talk your mom out, but she doesn't back off. You talk w/ your mom but she doesn't change her mind. In my case I'm sure it's out of love though she goes kinda overboard. In my friend's case it's something really insane. Do we have to obey our moms anyway? My mom, for support and modesty, forces me to wear bras I don't like and are not the kind of a bra a 13 girl enjoys, though I'm a C cup. There are other bras I'd enjoy and would do the same job. My friend is forced to wear frilly pinafores all the time at home, even when someone comes to her house, and sometimes has to go out w/ her mom wearing them. No matter how cute those aprons are, of course she gets really embarrassed. taking for granted our moms won't back off, what should we do?

Our daughter has been planning to visit her boyfriend on his birthday (lives in a different city - 20 mins away). However at the last minute she ask her mother if she could just spend the night and sleep on the couch. His family would all be home. My wife told her no and that she is not giving her permission, but our daughter spent the night anyway. Since our daughter still lives at home, how should we react to this?
