Good quailty costs. You can hope he has an uncommon name, and if you know the state hes in, perhaps hes listed in their phone directory. If he has an unlisted number, or just a cell phone you might be screwed.

Yahoo Answers is a very bad place for searching people. Since there are about 1 million users and there are about 2 billion people in the world who has access to internet. Even if your friend has access their chances of comming to Yahoo Answers is 2 in a thousand. And even if they do come, chances of finding your question is even more slim. So don't count on it.
