First of all you start with the agency. They should be able to tell you the medical information you need or contact the people that can. Depending upon the laws in your state you should be able to get your birth parent's information from them unless your birth parents blocked it. If they have, things are much more complicated but if it is a medical necessity you can petition the courts. There are several internet search companies that can help you if you can provide specific information to them as well.
It would seem your adoptive parents might have some information.

Another thought, take your birth certificate to the county records office. They should have a cross reference to your "original" birth records. i.e. baby boy Minkin at the name of the hospital you were born at.

Hope that helps.

Contact the BabyFold agency as they can likely advise you on the proper steps to take.

My family recently connected w/ my birth sister (adopted in IL) a few years after you. We were able to connect because both my mother & birth sister registered w/ the agency & state as wanting to connect again. When there was a match, they were only allowed to correspond via mail (went to the agency & they would review before sending on to protect both parties) for a year. If both parties wanted to continue communication after a year, the agency provides each w/ their contact info.

This worked out very well for us since we all are in communication on a regular basis & it all started in a protected environment (particularly when you never know when your biological family members could be Jerry Springer-like)!

Good luck to you!

Have you tried searching your birthname and birthdate? I have been helping friends locate a child they gave up for adoption and all of the postings that they have put up include that information incase the child searches.

I've been looking for my birth mother for years, no luck so far.

Best of luck to you though.
