If I don't ring her or 'pop over' regularly I get in trouble (and ignored next time I see her) I have done nothing to her. She expects to be showered with attention all the time and has to know every small detail of what is happenning in our lives. She is Bunny McDougall from Sex and the City. Should I keep ignoring her behaviour or do we need to have a chat? I don't want to get tricked into 'playing her stupid games'. My husband ignores her attention grabbing mostly.

my mom is one of my strengths and weaknesses. She has been disabled for about 15 years now. and everything got worse when my brother moved out. It's like i'm a 19 year old babysitting her. I have to stay around this area, and not like my friends going off to college. I do not like telling her what to do but it seems like I have to. Does it make me a bad person just to wish to be normal, but heck nothing is normal now a days is it.

Basically, my dad goes through two kinds of moods. For very long stretches, I'll be the perfect daughter. {I'm pretty damn bright, challenge myself academically, take on lots of responsibilities, etc.} He'll be kind and inquisitive as to my life and my friends.

However, he'll then push into these erratic, extremely foul periods where everything out of his mouth is a nasty name or an insult. Tonight, he accused me {'clandestinely'} of "f---ing up everything and being a f---head".

He does this to everyone in my immediate family. Any time I confront him about it, he gets frighteningly angry or waves it off and insults me again.

What the hell can I do? My mom isn't willing to actually do anything to change his behavior, and he scares my sister too much in those bad moods for her to be any kind of help.

Last Thursday at lunch at school, I was sitting on my boyfriend's lap. It's not a big deal. I am 15 and do it all the time.

However, the Principal came over and told me to get off of his lap and sit properly. I told him he was overreacting and he was like well maybe he should call my dad to see if he agrees and said he would if he ever sees me doing it again. Then he was like I was lucky he's not my dad because if he was I wouldn't be sitting on anything except a pillow for a while. What does that mean anyway.

I think my dad would be steamed and I am already in trouble for something else. What is the big deal about sitting on a boy's lap?

I have an identical twin sister who i love to death. She is my pride and joy. but she has a very low self esteem. I found out that I had lung cancer & had to have partial lung removal.(major surgery) I talked to my oldest Daughter & asked her if she"d be willing to stay with me once I got home from the hospital. She promised she would. I told her that if she couldn't, I would try to get somebody else. She said she would. Well, I had my surgery, (20th of July)had to stay in the hospital for 8 days and then was sent home. I never heard one word from her since & she never came to see me at home or the hospital. (My husband had to take 2 weeks off work to help me.) She never gave me one thought after we last talked. We have had problems in the past. She has dis-owned me before for something small and talks bad about me. She is the only child that does this to me & I have 3 other children. She is also going through a divorce & left her 3 children with her soon-to-be-ex to be with another man. I can't take the pain she is dishing out any longer. Too many times. How should I handle this with her?

My son is 3 and he always refuses to do things when I ask, and when he's naughty he goes on the naughty step, which then calms hims down and he rejoins in activities and he's ok for a while. But he refuses to drink much water or any other drink, I've tried everything, but I'm obviously not doing it right!

He see's his dad often and he listens to his dad all the time. I'm going thru a divorce, and he seems to have settled in where we are living now and he gets more attention now than ever cos my parents etc are with us all the time and he loves it! My ex and I have explained to him constantly that we won't be living together anymore etc.. and he's ok cos when my ex collects him he's really cool - but I think he uses this against me, and plays up deliberately!

My little one makes me feel like a mad woman. He only listens when I scream my head off! and he does things in his own stride, as and when he pleases! Any good advice?

My brother - if you answered my question before this one, you'll know - well, we found out some stuff, I guess someone at school wasn't so nice and he felt alot of peer pressure, blah-bla-blah, but I'm sure he's going to run away again, and further away - I'm trying to be nice to him and haven't done normal stuff (like yelled at him when he keeps his radio slightly louder then I like, E.G.), and we're all trying to be nice to him,

But I heard him say to my mom "I'll never run away again. I promise." What does THIS mean? Does it mean he's honest... What do you think?

My sister suffers from depression. A while ago my mum and her had a huge fight. They dont get on at all and my mum has no idea what goes on with my sister, she doesnt know she is bulemic either. She went upstairs and slit her wrists then called me up. I was dreading going into the room because i know what shes like. I calmed her down, tlaked to her then cleaned her wrists. I cried the whole night. She is now on Prozac but im afraid something will happen again. I dont know if im strong enough. I dont know if i can do it anymore. I am 18.

I am so angry that anyone put their hands on my six year old son. And yes I punish my son and expect if he is acting out of hand, for who ever is watching him to put him in a time out or in a corner, but this is rediculus. I told my husband and he wants to call her and talk to her about it. But what if he does not convey my feelings on this matter? Should I confront her and tell her? I don't want to upset my husband but she needs to know that she will never watch any of my children again.

my goddaughter has tried out for a recreational soccer league and she found out that she got a coach that is not very good. The coach doesn't know soccer very well and in the past she has gotten in trouble with the referees. my goddson had her and he said she wasn't very good and they lost all the games. I don't know what to say to her. I was thinking maybe for her to go to the practice and see the players and decide or to maybe ask the league for a switch. I just don't want her to lose her confidence she is a good player and I would hate for her to be unhappy. any suggestions would be appreciated.
